i thinking of buying a diablo..but i dont know which one....is it possible to have a sv roof kit be installed on the 6.0? Or could i get a sv and make the interior and the front bumper like the 6.0? Which way would be cheaper? The both have te same accelerate tiem right? I also heard that the 6.0 is the best overal performance diablo excluding the jota. And what is the main difference between 2wd and 4wd....I know i sound like a noob...but any help would be apprecaited.

It will be easier and cheaper for you to make a 6.0 2wd with SV scoop. It's just a matter of bolting off some of the front drive pieces and buying an SV hood. It should not cost you more than $15k. On the other hand, if you try to convert an SV to a 6.0, it could easily cost you more than $40k for parts alone, and converting it back would be costly as well.

Thanks for the reply...one more thing....do you know any places that could help me install that properly?...I live in Vancouver, BC Canada....I'm sure I could go to the exotic dealership, but that would be costly I assume. Also, if I buy a 6.0 that has 4wd, can i still change it back to 2wd, or would i be better off buying a 2wd in the first place? Thanks again

All 6.0s are AWD. Sorry, no 2WD 6.0s. You can easily convert the 6.0 AWD to 2WD, and vice versa. As for shops in Vancouver, Roytoy is the man to ask. I'm sure he'll chime in if he reads this thread.

wiz357 your the best...thanks for your advice...sorry but i have a couple more questions. I was just wondering tho...15k for the sv roof kit...isnt that a bit steep?...does it come installed, and it better be in carbon fiber. About the 2wd and 4wd topic...i'm not sure about converting it...cuz i know with 4wd you can take corners faster, but Im sure with 2wd you would still get decent handling...i mean come on its a Lamborghini. Just wondering what are like the main pros and cons between 2wd and 4wd? Thanks in advance.

Thanks...I'm still wondering whether to have a 2wd or 4wd. Can someone help me out please. Also wondering if I would change the gear ratios on the 6.0 to get faster accerleration. Thanks in advance, this forum has helped me out.

My suggestion, buy the 6.0 and do the scoop mods. If you want you can drop the front drive to get the 2wd action. If you are new to high hp, mid engine cars, stick with the 4WD. It would save your definitely save your butt in slippery situations. As for the price of the engine lid with scoops, I was just guesstimating. Remember, carbon fiber or not, Lambo parts are not cheap.

Yes, you can. Al and Steve do great work, but be ready for the bill. They are not cheap, but a lot of people think they are worth every dime. If you get to that point, ask for Steve. He is a great guy and always willing to help. Please don't waste his time if your not serious. I already waste most of his free time. :)

ic..thx for all the responses so far...they have been very helpful. Sorry got 2 more questions.

Is it possible to replace the side air intake of a 6.0 with the one on the roadster? Im quite sure that is possible.

Also Im sure you can change the ger ratios for the 6.0. I just wanna know what is the fastest possible ratio out there for the 6.0. Is it possible to go from 0-60 in under 3.5 seconds, because diablos have 500hp+, which is a lot of horsepower. Any response will be welcomed.

Thanks in advance.

You can not change the 6.0 intakes and the Roadster is Aluminum were the 6.0 is CF. There are a few differences with the 6.0 and the Roadster.

As far as the gear ratio question I don’t think there is a shorter gear ratio but I was thinking that you might be able to use the Diablo GT gearing on it. The Diablo GT has different gear ratios from the factory if specified on The GT.
The Diablo 6.0 has 550hp and if properly launched (which is not advised) can do a 0-60 in 3.4 sec and the ¼ in 11.4.

Actually there is one 6.0 out there that does have a shorter ratio and differnt gearing, its the 6.0SE, YEA YEA, I have one. This was done from the FACTORY, differnt then the standard 6.0, but with only approx 90 ^.0 in the US and onl;y approx 6 of those being 6.0SE 4 gold, 2 brown, I don't think you woulod take one apart to get the gearing.

But then again there is a price for everthing, I will sell my 6.0SE for 245,000.00 and I will throw in the gears for FREE!!

PS This gave the SE a top speed of 212 compared to the 205 for the standard 6.0.
