Does anyone know if the ISO from the late 60's and 70's is again in production? I heard that the son of the original owner wanted to build another car.

The ISO was an Italian sports car that was powered by GM (corvette engine). Only about 100 were made.

ISO was a manufacturer from 1953-76. They built scooters, the ISETTA (which was also made under license by BMW and others) and many other models including the "Rivolt-ing". From the early 60s there were ford and chevy based V8 cars. The chevy V8 based models included a variant of the Grifo.

A sample list: http://www.autoweteran.to2.pl/iso.html

New model

Mick,
Thanks for the info. Did you hear anything about a remake with a MB engine?

No sorry I haven't. The son of Renzo Rivolta is Piero and he lives in Sarasota Florida. The web site is: http://www.rivolta.com

Interesting that the automobile section is "under construction" and the history section notes "The Rivolta Group.... continuing to develop automotive prototypes in Europe"....
