Just curious from reading other threads, when using a stethescope to listen to injectors what are you listening for? Should you hear "clicking", and if so, about how many clicks per second? If an injector is stuck, I assume you will hear nothing as it is open... What are you listening for?

Hi Frank,

what you need to do is listen to perfectly healthy injectors until you recognize the sound easily, then if you ever hear an unhealthy injector you will know it.

A stuck injector sounds quite different from the rest. They should all sound the same when the probe is placed at the same location on each. Low RPM are the easiest to pick out differences. There is a distinct click, click, click sound as the metal rod inside the injector slides up and down.

Thanks...I'm going to check it out. I was going to do what JR mentioned, try to listen to a few to get a "baseline" of what it should sound like and listen for anything different / abnormal.
