Thanks! I'm typing this during the comercial break, Why do you hate them? I'v had 4 Vette's, I can't say any one of them could replace one of my lambo's but my 50th Anniversary Z06 is a beast. And I have been first on the list for the new C6 Z06 500+ hp version for a year and a half. I would hate to hear what you have to say about my Concours Delorean that I bought new and still has the window sticker in it. :whip:

I'm with Tony. I had a 2002 Z06. It was fun, fast and reliable. For the price, nothing can beat it. Would I buy another? Absolutely. Would I exchange it for my Lambo? Absolutely NOT.

Aww, it's just a Chevy, and I was always a Ford guy. But what was that about 500+ horsepower? They said 400... It's not a bad looking car, looks like they've taken a page from Ferrari in the styling department, the front kind of looks like a 360, more European anyway.

Raymond, The 2006 C6 Z06 is to be shown at the Detriot show in January.
It is confirmed with a 427 and 500+HP, Also confirmed is 335 rear tires.

They are cheap, and you don't want to run into one on the street.... To see a Lambo taken down at a light is not a sight I want to see either, but odds are you will get beat if it's a Z06 or a new C6, and when the C6 Z06 500+hp car hits the streets next year......just don't do it unless your in a Murcielago.

I have not seen the show. But, know that the 400 hp is for the normal production C6. The new Z06 will have 500hp.

A Z06 will not take a Diablo. Any Diablo. And I do have a Z06, and have had Vettes since '68. So I'm not a Vette hater at all. Yes, they are easy to mod to hell and back, no doubt. But stock for stock, they lose in all areas of "street racing". As for the 500hp car, we will see. Chevy has let me down many times in the last 30 years, and I see another coming. Whats it called, the "Blue devil"?

I don't know exactly what the difference between the new Z06 and the C6. I'm sure it's not just it being lightweight. There were quite few differences between the C5 and the C5-Z06. The C5-Z06 has track tuned suspension, titanium exhaust, and at least 40hp more powerful engine. So, I would not be surprise if the General comes out with a Viper-fighter Z06 for less than $60k.

I do think a 500 HP vette would be hell on wheels and i have owned many vettes and still currently have two but dont let ".....just dont do it unless your in a murci" quote fool you. A Gallardo or Diablo would spank it down. As a matter of fact there are alot of DIablos that would either run with or outrun a murci.

Yes, if that in fact happens, I believe you are correct. HP to weight can't be beat on the street.
