Let me ask you guys this question :
As a potential buyer, who doesn't have an over abundance of cash, would you sincerely over pay right now to get into a preowned car?
Based throughout out the forum, 4-5 of us are waiting for prices to drop to purchase this model.
The first thing my dad taught me about buying a new car… the second you drive the car off the lot, you have just lost 5-10% off the value of the car. (Under normal circumstances)

if you are not concerned about depreciation or resale, then buy it when you can fiscally handle it.

I bought my Murci roadster for its stunning looks, performance, but most importantly… I listened to the experts. They were predicting the pricing of murci’s had bottomed out and that they would follow the price curve of the Diablo. They were right 😎

granted I’ve always like collecting, exotics were new to me. Yes there was a modest risk of depreciation, but the enjoyment factor would absolutely be worth it.

ps
1 lambo isn’t a collection… so with that, does anyone have a Diablo or Diablo roadster they want to sell? Lol

what’s your prediction on Huracan prices ? It seems like experts are on the fence if they will hold their value as they are the last of the NA engines while others say they will drop hard due to the over supply and looming recession

To be honest, previous economic hardships haven’t really effected exotic pricing. That’s based on my observations.(panic selling does happen and will present great opportunities).

There are overheated sectors in the exotic market… SVJs, Murci manuals, new orders over MSRP, etc. those price points however, are from very wealthy individuals. So a recession means squat to them, unless they are highly leveraged to the economy or are reckless with their wealth strategies.

It’s my belief that the low end markets will be effected the most and will slightly feather its effects upward.

that’s my story and I’m sticking to it.

Did E readers effect the pricing of collectible comic books?

one things for sure…technology continues to advance, but how it effects the human psyche is an exercise in futility…

“the psyche /ˈsaɪki/ is the totality of the human mind, conscious and unconscious.[1] Many thinkers, including Carl Jung, also include in this definition the overlap and tension between the personal and the collective elements in man”

Blue-chip supercars like the Murci SV will continue to go up in value. Your run-of-the-mill H won't be going up in value. Same with the SVJ's, there's almost 2000 of them out there. Same with the SV. There's plenty of A's out there for people who want a NA V12 to find and buy.

No. But 458s are almost as expensive as 488s.
And 6 Zylinder NA Boxer driven Porsches (GT3) are as expensive as 650 hp 992tts. Which causes prices far above MSRP and severe shortages in supplies of GT3s.
Guess what will happen with 10 (or12) cylinder NA cars against hybrid cars that are the worst technological nonsense in the automotive history.

The 458 is a standalone model which also increases it's desirability whereas the Huracan is the same model with 10 different variants.

Also keep in mind the same NA V10 is the in current R8 so combine the Huracan and R8 and you have a ton of cars out there to stafisty the demand for the NA V10 for years to come. And this doesn't include all the Gallardo's and first gen R8's that have the previous NA V10 engine.

I think this push up in prices isn’t about NA, etc. Even the SF90 is at a huge premium, as are random cars like Rolls Royces, etc…… People that believe the last of the NA theory have already bought and there will be no new demand chasing them. Huracans won’t be rare enough to become true collector cars, imo

Just looking at the Performante, I can’t see much appreciation for regular Huracans. By all accounts, the Performante is a pretty special car, somewhat low in production. But guess what? It’s only a little over MSRP after this pandemic madness. How can you expect the mass produced models to appreciate when a semi special one really hasn’t? Overall, only one way prices will go, unless Lamborghini raises new car prices by 10-20% per year going forward.

Lets take look at the Aventador's, the SV should be a million dollar car (rarer than the SVJ) but instead the SVJ is. The 50th anniversario, one of the rarest Aventador variants is barely selling for MSRP. Classic bubble where prices don't make any sense which is why I still stand by a 30%+ price correction for the SVJ and I also predict Ultimae's will be trading below MSRP.

And the MSRP on the Aventador replacement will be higher than the LP700/S but it still won't be anywhere close to the justify the million dollar+ dealers are asking for the SVJ's and Ultimae's.

SL55, this move is not about collectibility. As far as % over MSRP for newer cars, even within say the Lamborghini brand…..it’s not about that. Urus, Evo, etc all go for about same % over sticker. Just as we have mentioned, the Anniversario hasn’t gone up much and neither has the Performante. Heck, a new Urus probably went up as much as a Performante….lol

All of your comparisons are apples to oranges.
