Huracan pricing bubble

161445 Views 3490 Replies 114 Participants Last post by  topcarbon
I don’t know about anyone else, but these prices are getting out of control. Evos with 5k+ mileage asking for 350k plus?? Performantes in the high 300 low 400 range? 610s approaching 300? At some point this has to relax a little. I’m just some old guy venting that when he finally has enough to purchase the cars that the asking price keeps getting higher and higher.

I think you can be a car enthusiast without having a car.
Passion from cars is not singularly from ownership.
One needs look no further than this forum with those that are enthusiastic for Lamborghini and will never own one.
I love Pagani, but I know my limiktations

I really don’t see prices coming down any time soon
With supply chains continue to be broken(not just disrupted), with people who own these cars presently capitalizing on profits, with people who purchased high and want to protect their positions, with little market supply, and with people buying these cars at the high market price, with ICE slowly coming to an end, the market for these cars will continue to hold high market value and those praying and sitting on the sidelines will continue to pray and hope and tell their friends that they are going to buy…….just not now. But they will continue to wait on the market. At the end some will finally purchase, but most will not

355 huracans listed on Autotrader as of today (USA Nationwide). Cheapest one is $199k with almost 100k miles on it.
Seems to me that if someone really wanted one there is a seat for every driver and price point for those in the market.
Makes me wonder when someone constently complains about pricing and how they “will” if the price were right, and then time passes by, and by, and by. And then they never buy.

I’m about to get my first Lambo after years of dreaming. Are you all saying I should sell it upon arrival? Are we now in a period that buying is a bad idea? I secured a discount and am excited about my spec but now I don’t know if I can enjoy it. 😢
Forget everything people are saying and buy it
You know what you are buying and the value. Enjoy it in good health

Big difference between listing price and selling price. There wouldnt be 355 H's bloating US dealer inventory if the prices were reasonable.

My one owner 1K mile $270K MSRP H was $190K cash no sales tax. Those buying days will come back end of 2023 at the latest.
Let us not forget, dealers will list cars that have been sold, and keep listings up to appear to have a variety of inventory only to have many cars not available

Are there really a lot of flippers on this forum? My impression is 95-100% are die hard fans of Lambo.
On this forum? No

What are the car loan interest rates looking like at this time? I know it is slowly creeping up........
I guess that would depend on amount loaned and term
Still fairly low under 3 and goes up from there
Oh the possibilities...

The extra money, those who over pay right now could of paid for year round lawn care, a cleaning lady, maybe a part time chef? I like the chef idea, I'm beat when I'm done working.

It got me thinking the exploded difference would buy me a 4Runner at inflated prices and it might include a new 10K asphalt driveway with it.
Just because you cannot afford the car you want does not diminish the the value of having the car now for those that can.

What i find funny is there was a thread a while back that illustrated how people will criticize others for purchasing a vehicle like a lamborghini, or other non practical car. Here we are on a lamborghini forum and many negative comments about purchasing right now have buyers questioning when they should pull the trigger on this car or that car. Its a Lamborghini!!!!!!!!!! There is no right time, and there is no bad time. If someone can afford it and see the value of their purchase, WOW! They get to realize their dream or accomplishment.
The difference in ADM, depreciation, what it costs five years ago, blah blah blah……….

YOLO and FOMO are two reasons why people get themselves in a financial hole.
I agree with this.
I picture someone saving saving saving for their dream car and then can’t afford to maintain it.
Having the cash to spend is one thing, but there is another financial piece that gets overlooked.

i'm curious about the future price of the countach.
All variants have increased over the past five years
Increases are different depending on which year and model with the anniversary and qvfi lagging behind the down draft.
It would be hard to see any countach reducing at this point due to its iconic status and rarity
Three numbers and two letters

Don’t want to get too off track

765 is on the edge of madness
Raw, edgy, out of control

exactly what an exotic car should be

Let me ask you guys this question :
As a potential buyer, who doesn't have an over abundance of cash, would you sincerely over pay right now to get into a preowned car?
Based throughout out the forum, 4-5 of us are waiting for prices to drop to purchase this model.
I would not say any one wants to “over pay” as you say.
In the present, those who purchase are buying at the right time for them and negotiate a price that is fair.
Your perspective is that the prices are over priced.
My suggestion is they are more dollars now than two years ago. You won’t buy now for your reasons, like many(budget, value, spending power, impending doom), but other will for their reasons.
Everyone has their time, or simply run out of time, or simply lose momentum, or never could in the first place.

Argghhhh!!! I can't take it any longer...the bubble has popped! My new car arrives in a few weeks and I'm selling it!! MSRP is $253k...I'm praying I can get $100k. Any takers?????
A few weeks is a lifetime in this market
Let’s just say 90k maybe too high at that point.
I will let you know what my offer is with the precise daily count of cars on the market versus median asking price from dealers who may or may not have sold vehicles
Lord I hope I don’t get into a bidding war with someone on here who desperately wants it more than me

Most dealerships have a storage area somewhere close
I agree that the huracans may come down further as well as ALL Mclarens but the 600LT spiders are mostly all over 260k currently except some high mile examples?
That has me confused too
I checked and there is nothing lower than 230k
