Huracan pricing bubble

I don’t know about anyone else, but these prices are getting out of control. Evos with 5k+ mileage asking for 350k plus?? Performantes in the high 300 low 400 range? 610s approaching 300? At some point this has to relax a little. I’m just some old guy venting that when he finally has enough to purchase the cars that the asking price keeps getting higher and higher.

So many good memories with my Porsches over the recent years while living in LA. The Boxster was the gateway drug to the GT cars… now onto Lamborghinis

A few summers ago I took my GT4 on a cruise through the Malibu canyons then parked in a fairly low key lot in Santa Monica to watch the sunset. I park and a guy in a AMG GTR pulls up, gets out and says, it’s got a harness bar, you track it right?! I said yes I do…. Lewis?!

No way!! Don’t like the guy but that’s freaking cool! The pic actually makes me feel better about him. Was he cool?

Lewis was incredible, super humble, wanted to talk cars and Porsches. If you don’t fanboy a guy like him, he wants to just talk about cars like all of us. I was a huge fan of him before and still am. He’s all class
Ok, I'll like him a little bit but still want George Russell to beat him at every race!

I hear what you're saying but most look at it like I paid 200k for the car and four years later I sold it for 240k therefore I made 40k. If you really want to get technical; you could add fuel costs, interest (if any), maintenance, fees, mods, insurance and it would then most likely be a loss.
Good call. That’s why I turned my car in last year and have been riding a bike. Even though my old car has appreciated, not enough to cover insurance and gas and if I had gotten into an accident then that blows up the equation due to a reduced value. My electric bike has been fun but ready for my Lambo!

$296,400 without fees, transport, etc.
Find a $3600 option so you can legit say you paid 3 bills!!

Im not sure when the party ends, but it will end……
When one party ends…another begins!! Viva Las Vegas!!!!
No car all summer? Not something I would do.
I’ve gone nearly a year without my own car and it’s been a great learning experience. The main lesson is I’ll never do that again!!!

There was a period where dealers would call around to see if you would sell you car. Last year a Chevy dealer called me they had a "VIP" day where they would appraise my C7 and buy it. I told the woman on the phone you can't afford my price, she seemed perplexed probably thinking why I wouldn't want a few extra dollars than the regular depreciation.

Now that I know I'm a die hard sports car enthusiast no way I could be carless. I would be totally depressed. To most people they wouldn't understand "the super sports car thing".
I took the approach that with reward comes sacrifice. Being carless was obviously a big one. It actually has been fun getting around by bike but when needing a car it’s definitely been a hassle.
Talking about the production of Huracans, I saw another one last night and will post it in my thread later on, There's so many it's outnumbering the C7 Corvettes I see on the road. It's getting close to being the Italian Chevy.

Ok I'm going to run under the table now so you can't catch me, I got that trick from my cat.... :p
That’s cause all the C7s are in repair shops and junk yards! 😜

Oh really, where? I need to prepare in advance and get a parts car!

I'm amazed the parts are so cheap, they are a fraction of those of my 4Runner!

Overall until now it's not too bad, 76 000km and I've replaced the starter $260, HMI module (infotainment computer) 800$, a speed sensor and the fuel door lock actuator under warrantee.

It's going to hurt to have to pay for Lambo parts and wait who knows how long to get them. The repairs that I won't do myself is going to be an issue, where do I bring it locally? Closest dealer is in another city and will require a flat bed tow truck to and from. Tow truck bill would be around $1000.
I never had issues with my C7 but I only had it for 3 years. Thankfully my Lambo servicing dealer provides free transportation. They’re about an hour from me. But, I’d like to develop a relationship so I’m hoping to spend some time there.

Not only are H's piling up but SVJ's aren't moving either and it's basically the summer driving season. Not a good sign for flippers and dealers.

Supercar inventory will probably increase with each rate hike so it'll probably a good time to flip your car if you want to make some money before the market cools.
I’m about to get my first Lambo after years of dreaming. Are you all saying I should sell it upon arrival? Are we now in a period that buying is a bad idea? I secured a discount and am excited about my spec but now I don’t know if I can enjoy it. 😢

Forget everything people are saying and buy it
You know what you are buying and the value. Enjoy it in good health
Thank you!!! I’m really excited but hate reading about it’s time to sell.

I believe he's talking about flippers and dealers so if you're not buying to flip why would you need to sell? It's a good thing we're heading towards a normal and balanced market because this sh!tshow has gone on for way too long.

And let me pull out my tiny violin for all the dealers who overpaid or have a ton of inventory they might not be able to move when the market starts cooling.
Are there really a lot of flippers on this forum? My impression is 95-100% are die hard fans of Lambo.

My 9 month old Civic continues to appreciate. Just checked again today. Honda has produced a few more than supercar manufacturers. None of this makes sense.

150+ Evos for sale alone in the US. That’s a lot of cars even though it may not seem like a lot. Not to mention quite a few show reduced price as of late.
What would be normal for let's say a 3 year run (2020, 2021, 2022) (EVO)? That's 3 per state, or 1 per model year per state. Is the "norm" really less available for sale than that?
Someone posted this a while back I think. I’ve left it in my phone on a Safari tab. Lamborghini Huracan Price Trends - CarGurus

Life is short, buy what you love if you can afford it -stop worrying about depreciation when it comes to cars.
I’m not sure about ur upbringing but we were very middle class and as a 20 something had nothing but debt so worrying about depreciation is engrained in my DNA. I’m 50 now and have plenty of money but still eat at McD’s cause it’s cheap and that is what I could afford in college. Hard to change one’s DNA even when others tell you to do so.

I’m convinced there is group of people that are collapsing our country on purpose.
Everything this administration is touching turns to siht.
How is it under Our previous president all was well...the country seemed to be doing well.
Today i heard that the WHO will BE IN CONTROL of our pandemic issues.
I wish i can find a better country to move to i’m FED up with all this nonsense.
Agree with everything except not interested in finding a new country. Let’s just get ours back on the right path.

Well, I ended up relying on my traders instinct and decided to sell the STO which I just took delivery of and take the profit. At least the forum now has one real and accurate data point. It wholesaled for just about $105K over sticker. I believe I will be right…..If I’m wrong, bump this in 6 or 12 months, no problem 😉
Are you gonna keep an eye on its whereabouts and try to buy it back in a year or two?
Lol, no…..but will just see if I’m right or wrong in general. If you’re not a buyer at current price for anything, then you have to look at possibly selling.
I’d love to flip my incoming and make a little if possible but my first Lambo I can’t let it go for a while!!! Enjoy the cash money homey!!

Now I have to think if I should flip the condo I bought in Vegas in December 2011…. 😂
Not sure the time period that constitutes a flip but 11 years later I’d probably just call it a sale! 🤣🤣🤣
