Okay everyone... So I took the delivery of my car on Saturday. I ended up going with the Blu Laufey/Arancio California, and specs that were pretty similar to the launch edition, but I chose against the black roof and some of the additional orange and black paint on the sides and around the car. I personally just thought the launch one was a little busier than I would like, but overall loved the look. I knew the blue roof and bonnet would look good because I love Blu Cepheus cars. I did like the STO side sticker, but didn't want to much else. The white accents and white on the interior are stunning against the car. I was originally pretty worried about this. I pretty much picked up the car and drove it for an hour and then took it for PPF. Llumar is actually scanning the car right now to create the STO template. They should have it within a few days/week for anyone getting their car soon. If you want to see more pictures and videos of the car, check out my IG at @hustled4it
So here is my first impression.... The car is
[email protected] stunning. This car is absolutely the definition of "pictures don't do it any justice". There are so many small, faint body lines that cameras just don't pick up. This car is an absolute show stopper. Some comments I received from close friends and Lambo owners were "Wish I had gotten one" - "Damn, this thing is so badass" - "Holy Sh!t" - "Just when I thought I was over the Huracan, I see this thing" - and even two different "I'd rather have this than the SVJ" (I know that's craziness). I was hard pressed to find someone that wasn't immediately breath-taken by the car. The car just demands your attention. It was really pretty awesome to see it for the first time. The interior is so badass. Alcantara EVERYWHERE... and I do mean everywhere. The sport seats are really awesome and I think they do a fantastic job of mixing the race bucket hug with the pleasantry of the comfort seats. The updated electronics for anyone who hasn't spent time in an EVO are really nice. The speaker sound so far (I haven't made any adjustments) is pretty crappy, but I think it's probably due to some lighter weight junk speakers and they are in a carbon fiber door skin. Plus hey, it's a race car. Maybe once I get some time with the infotainment system and play with some settings I'll get that fixed. The drive of the car is really amazing so far, but I haven't really been able to dig into it too much during the break-in period. The exhaust note change around 4500RPM is pretty fantastic. So much to the point I think many people will skip the option for aftermarket exhaust. There are some pretty decent crackles and pops at higher RPMs. The car feels tight and ready to race, but somehow still smooth and agile. My GT2RS felt like a race car, and almost jerky and always eager to hit the track all the time (which is still a feeling I love), but the STO manages to accomplish that and still be very road friendly/as smooth driving as you want. I haven't really pushed it hard yet, but much like the GT2RS, I can tell that it wants to me to. You can feel that it's eager to be driven hard, and I can't wait....
Hopefully that provides some insight for you guys, and some excitement for your future cars. I'd be more than happy to answer any other questions any of you might have, as long as I have the answers.
