Huracán STO

So a few weeks ago my dealer told me about the Huracán Super Trofeo Omologato possibly being unveiled in August next year which should be the most hardcore street legal Huracan yet. It should get tech from the new Evo, be extremely light and also have 5 point harness racing seats. Also it will most likely be number-limited.

Does anyone on here have more information on this?

That just looks and sounds amazing!
Agreed. Black STO with satin expel exterior in the video above right? The STO looks stunning in satin black.

The STO doesn't have an infinite number of options and configurations but is sure as hell feels like it.

@Italytrotter, I wish you could have asked about the infotainment system and the many challenges we users have been facing. I hope there is a redesign of said system in the H replacement.
Good point about the infotainment - I haven't owned a latest Huracan model so i haven't had the pleasure to experience the nightmares that many of you described. My only complaint with them was the fact that racing seatbelts are not available in my region, even if porsche, their sister company, regularly import here the full racing config (rollbar+belts)

Firstly, @Huracaan nice video thanks for posting. I think the STO looks incredible in black and the engine note sounds darn good but I wonder if the dealership prior to delivery would be willing to pull the vacuum lines and zip tie them to optimize the engine sound?

Yes. Just ask them.
If you pull the vacuum lines then the engine is loud all of the time, effectively giving up Strada which is the equivalent of STO mode. One of the great things about the Huracan is Strada because it makes the car as quiet as a Camry. This is great for driving in your neighborhood, the highway or whenever you want it quiet. There are two solutions for now. Leave it the way it is or install a valve controller. Unless you want to give up the quiet in Strada/STO which doesn't make sense to me.

My dealer is Charlotte, and they are going to install a valve controller before I take delivery. I use the same setup in my Pista and 812. It works great. I keep it closed for the neighbors as I don’t need any extra attention….

I agree, and I use strada when I see a cop so I don’t attract any more attention than necessary.

Please give me some details that sounds incredibly interesting. Will you buy the controller and have them install it, is so a link would be appreciated. So, I would be able to keep the valves open to suit my mood? Which, in point of fact, is just about all the time so......vacuum lines as alternative? DK.

I drive exclusively in Corsa unless I'm coming and going through the neighborhood, driving on highways or when I see cops. Anything over a couple of miles on the highway in Corsa/Sport is extremely annoying. You lose the freedom of being able to make the car quiet when you want with vacuum lines unplugged. I don't want to be "that" guy with my neighbors. There's no reason to make it more complicated when it's relatively simple.

If you're at or below the speed limit you are okay irrespective of the decibel level. There are places in the US that are hyper-vigilant about noise control but those places are more the exception than the rule.

This was the link that was posted earlier on this thread:

I currently have the Capristo version in my 812 and Pista. And this appears to be the Lamborghini version:

In any event, the concept works great. Push a button on the remote, valves open and stay open. Push a different button, valves close and stay closed until the rpms force them open (according to the factory settings).

Yes, I have the first webpage saved already but not the Capristo, thanks! I will order the Capristo controller well before delivery and have the dealership install it. Have you talked to Chase about the possibility of running a quick battery attachment (cable) to an opening on the front bumper to avoid having to open the whole front-end to attach the battery maintainer/charger.

I don’t see how that can be done, the tender connection on the outside. Because of how the cofango is.

I looked at it for almost an hour and didn’t see an option with out drilling. But, I have been heavy handed on the bourbon the past few nights, lol.

I would have sworn that someone posted a photo of the charger attached to the STO without opening the cofactor. There has to be a solution without having to drill anything...
@fastmd, hopefully you’re not an orthopod otherwise I fear with copious amounts of bourbon that drill will start to whirl.........:ROFLMAO:

No for me, I don't have a front license plate and I don't want them even looking my way if I can help it. I have already been cited once.
I wonder if the cable for the tender can be run up between the windshield and cofango opening and possibly fastened to keep it accessible but not visible. I have never seen an STO up close and personal so, this could just be another episode of Fantasy Island.
Agreed. The Lambo itself is attention enough. If I even see a cop coming by instinct I automatically put it in strata mode. I don't need anymore attention from law enforcement.

Well, if it makes you and Russ comfortable then by all means do so but, that is more than I am willing to do.
