Are these locks failing a common issue?

Just got word from the dealership that my sto has hit port. Does it still take a while for it to reach the dealership and pre delivery inspection before I can pick up the car ?

First time buying a lamborghini so this is all new to me. It hit Houston, TX port a few days ago according to my salesman

Shouldn't take too long? A week or two maybe.

I ordered all the carbon on mine except for front splitter because dealer told me it wasn’t available.

My dealer hasn't said anything about the exterior full carbon package not being available, but I did qualify that if I can't get the full exterior carbon I will cancel my order and just wait for the H replacement.

Interesting. When did you order? Is your spec locked? When are you expecting delivery?

I just ordered end of June and my spec locked the next day (had to have Lamborghini reopen it to add cruise control cause I realized I didn’t want blank buttons on the steering wheel of a 400k car). Dealer told me my car is estimated for a January delivery.

Now I’m curious if I my dealer had wrong information and I could have ordered the full carbon.

my spec recently was reopened to add ADP options. I can add full Carbon but I might opt out due to the ridiculousness of paying $22,100 to “expose” the already full carbon pieces.

At least you get a discount with the package. Since.I could only get 3/4 packages I had to pay full price which is almost as much as the package.

That’s messed up

It is what it is. I'm just glad I got an allocation.

• Bezel, Louvers, Upper Fin $1,600
• Front Bumper $8,500
• Diffuser $9,400
• Snorkel and Wing $9,400

- Full Exterior Pack $22,100

So $20,400 for the 3 pieces I got vs $22,100 if the pack had been available., so with the package you basically get the front bumper for $1,700 instead of $8,500.

If your spec is locked then you must have an allocation? How did you get it so fast? You are referring to June 2022 right?
I ordered in February and my spec is not locked, I don't even have an allocation yet. For all I know it might not even happen, but my dealer seems to think he will be getting at least 1 or 2 new allocations soon.

My car is supposed to be a January delivery. I’m not sure exactly how they got my allocation but I think it has to do with purchase history of svj roadster and many previous Lambos.

Mine is also a January delivery (Dec allocation). Looks like we will be getting ours at the same time 😎

Awesome. I’m pretty hyped about this car. Haven’t decided if I want to trade my 3RS on it or not. I feel like they will have a lot of overlap but at the same time they are quite different.

Interesting feedback Albert, I do love the 3RS but the pricing / Porsche experience I’m never buying another GT Porsche. I will say the GT3 is a much better buying proposition as it does 95% of what the GT3 can do for most drivers. Also it looks better. At msrp they’re all great but I’m not going to do the Porsche dance with their dealer network. I’d rather give my money to Lamborghini who makes exciting and beautiful cars and values my business 😊

I feel the same way about the dealerships but love the car. Only Porsche I’ve owned and probably will remain the only one. Bought my 991.1 used slightly under MSRP with 4K miles and can’t complain too much since they also seem to have gone up since then. I haven’t tracked mine but it’s great on twisty mountain roads as well as driving around town. The PDK transmission is just so damn good and the car sounds great with sharkwerks exhaust.

I'm with State Farm. I plan to shop around at some point though because apparently they have gone downhill lately. I had a comprehensive claim recently for a stolen/recovered vehicle and repairs took forever because State Farm kept trying to argue with quotes and supplements from my bodyshop [They wanted to partially spray panels where body shop wanted to spray the whole panel and kept trying to get them to source used parts].

I've heard good things about Chubb so going to hit them up and get a quote.

I've heard from multiple people that auto insurance industry is hurting between lowering everyone's premium during COVID and people forgetting how to drive while working from home so that may have something to do with it.

Have people been allocated cars with the exterior carbon at all in recent months?

I’m in a tricky situation where the dealer will NOT allow me to wait for a with-carbon allocation, citing such chances are close to none. However, another customer ahead of me was able to wait for 3 months (his slot came up in March, but decided to wait for with-carbon allocation which became available in June). I either have to submit my without-carbon order this week or forfeit my chances of an STO.

Would appreciate if people could chime in with their experience and opinions. I was really hoping to have carbon on my car. But again, it’s just aesthetics.

I ordered end of June and was able to get all the exterior carbon in shiny except the front bumper which my dealer said was not available.

How much are you guys paying for PPF? I was quoted $6,750 to do the whole car in Suntek Ultra. This is from the same installer that did my SVJ and he did an absolutely amazing job.
