How to disconnect the battery

I need to disconnect the battery on my Aventador. I managed to remove the tub (man Lamborghini doesn't like making things easy)...

I don't know what cable to disconnect because there's a million of them running around the battery. I know I need to remove the negative (black) cable but where is it? Could someone please mark the right one to remove, and where? Thanks!

Look for the black cable with the open-ended 8mm bolt head. It's not on the battery terminal itself. It's on the body ground strap, which is the thick black braided cable bolted to the chassis right next to the battery. Loosen that 8mm bolt and move the cable aside. That's the negative disconnect.

really?

The negative is connected to the chassis - That's why we remove the negative first - because it's already connected to the chassis.

If you do the positive first, and you touch the chassis with your tool, you'll create a huge spark and probably send molten metal everywhere.

And no you won't get a shock - it's a 12v battery. Just don't lick it.

I don't think you should be doing this job though - the battery terminal is marked with a HUGE negative sign and you don't even know how to read that - are you sure you should be messing with this?

If you connect the battery the wrong way around, you'll end up with a $50k bill, and most likely scars for life.
