I believe the wires you are talking about is only available if you have the homelink. In my case, which I don,t doesn’t have that.Wow...almost everyone made this job wayyyyyy too complicated.
It’s really simple, grab you dome light on the front side by the windshield and pull that down straight. The front end of the dome light is 2 clips, the rear side has a piece that you just slide in after popping the clips.
2 of wires to the dome light are ignition, I believe the 2 on the right of the plug. Literally T-tap into those wires after testing with a volt meter. You can push the radar plug through the front of the headliner easily and it will come out by the rear mirror.
Once you try this method, I could install one in 5 minutes now and it’s a low draw using the oem fuse without any issues.
do you mind sharing how you did this / I’m on the same boat and trying to figure out how to route wires under the trims. thanks !!Thanks. That's how I ran it but how do you tuck the wire into this section where the red arrows are at? I can't remove that panel in order to tuck the wires into it to bring down to the bottom.
Sorry.. I can't remember as it been so long. I believe I just jammed the wire in slots and traced it down. Sorry I can't be of more help.do you mind sharing how you did this / I’m on the same boat and trying to figure out how to route wires under the trims. thanks !!
