Absolutely. Though, there are two things I would routinely advise against.......dealership and factory PPF installation.
Oh, I could NOT agree more. I just did a ceramic coating on a Ferrari 488 for a friend. The PPF that it cam with was absolutely, amateurish. bubbles++, BIG wrinkles at some edges (and smaller ones elsewhere), seams that were supposed to but up against each other with 1/2" gaps instead, NONE of the PPF edges were wrapped around the edges of the body work....It was monumentally crap. He bought his car used from Eastern Canada - it arrived with this "dealer installed" PPF.

@TTBear, that effort on the Ferrari is an absolute embarrassment and It’s hard to imagine a technician thinking that is acceptable work. I don’t care what people do for a living but if they find they don’t have the skills they should find something else to do.
The last dealership PPF I had done had bubbles galore.........In Champagne that’s fine, though, it’s not so fine on high end super cars or any car for that matter.

The upcoming PPF (full front, side rockers), ceramic and coating for Spyder top is $3.4K but since I have matt paint I’m going to do the full car PPF, which will be an additional $2.5k, so $6k in total. Well worth it.

I paid $5500 CAD for full PPF on my STO and not only that but my installer installed the new Xpel Ultimate Fusion PPF which isn't coming to the market for a couple months.

The PPF has less orange peel and comes ceramic coated.

That Corsa 488 looks like the PPF was installed by a noob. You could order factory PPF from Ferrari in the 458 era and it would come in pre-cut sheets and the dealership would install it.

I heard it was crap like TTBear's photos.

The key here as we all know is not the price but the installer. Optimize for who does the work. $1k here or there doesn’t matter vs quality of work

Deezwho, if you are considering WP, I would be glad to share with you the gentleman that I used in Rockledge, Flordia. He did a amazing job on my car. I believe it was the 5th EVO he had done this year. He knows his way around these cars. I am just about 125 miles north of WPB. There also is a very good installer in Orlando that I know of.

Not sure who Lambo WPB uses. But, from what I have seen, some dealers may not use the best. I am almost sure the dealers make a very decent cut (1000 + or -) I have been told on jobs they set up. So pricing does become an issue here.

My guy is a one man show and does everything himself.

Whatever, the case, I hope both of you guys end up with a great job!
Sorry to revive a nearly 2 year old thread, but I was perusing the forum looking for PPF recommendations and came upon this. Do you mind sharing your installer? I'm new to this forum and I would have directed this to a DM, but I'm not sure how.

As you say, I'm just trying to do my homework to determine the best installer near me.
