Garage to be...

I have not been that long on the forum, but it feels like a home already - I just have to say it - the atmosphere and the friendliness in this forum is fantastic and extremely helpful, getting me, guiding me to better choices...
My journey to owning a Lamborghini started, as it probably did for many of you, back in the ages of 12-14... so quite a while ago (being 50 now). But it has never been as close as now... I could actually go right away buy today - but I have some other stuff I need to put money into first in the 2 coming years, such as a guesthouse on my property, and also a garage to put the Lamborghini in...

It will not be a standard/normal garage or workshop in any way, it will be a place where I will put my jewel where I also can see it from my living room in my house (even if it is in another building). Facing the house, the garages long side will be mostly covered in see through glass. Will have remote lighting up of the inside of the garage controllable from the house etc etc... I think you get the idea... I want to be able to see and enjoy the car all year long, even when I don't drive it.

That means the interior of the garage has to be clean and nice, since it will be seen from the garden and the house, but not from the street. Ofcourse I think of having a large Lamborghini logo on the inside wall of the garage behind the car. There will be some more room in the garage too, the measurements will be 4x7 meters (probably), so what more should I get in there? Any other stuff you think I must have in my small garage/mancave?
I think of a large screen, that can showcase lambovideos (and other stuff ofcourse) and some nice loungechairs or a small sofa - just to hang out... maybe a bardesk...

Open for all ideas and suggestions, good, bad, stupid, fun... Anything goes! And pictures... please, fill this thread with pictures of your ideas, your garages or other places you've seen that are relevant for this thread.

GO!

The Garage is the blue box, the grey is a to be drive-in from the carport drive-in from the street. The house is the larger one on top of picture, so its the side of the garage facing the main house that will be glass-covered...

Have been thinking a bit... here's some simple drawings of the upcoming fun cave...

here's a thought on the large windows and Glassdoor on the side...

And here's the look of the back wall inside...

What do you all say about this? What's missing, and what more should I put in there? On the back wall of the garage (behind/above) the sofa - I think maybe either some large Lambo-shield logo, or a couple of canvas/framed posters... of other Lampo-cars or situations...

So - this is me-but if Im designing my perfect garage I would include water, heat, and drainage so that it could serve as a detail bay. From experience draining needs to be interior -to prevent leaves from clogging the drain in certain seasons and flooding the new garage (don't ask how I know this).....

You better think of burglary and security.

If you have large windows here then burglars will see what you have and will be tempted to break in with a security system or not.

You could also put a high resolution camera in the garage and put a window size big screen display in any or all your rooms and would be able to see you car. :)

Hey! You found the pics of my shop at the mancave section. The one with de Lego Sian on the wall. 😃 My garage is an ongoing project, due my growing diecast collection and the wish of owning more cars. Now planning to buy or build a garage, where I can park more cars, collect more diecast, automotive memorabilia and where I can work as well. So looking for inspiration as well. Pinterest and the garage section on L4P.com is a good source. Following this thread with interest! 😇

Remote controlled window shades. Or if you really want to splurge… windows that can electronically be frosted.

the other item I would put in there, is an exotic dancer or two.

I have water nearby from an carport, and for sure the garage will be heated. But thanks for the input!

The windows is only towards my house on my property, and not visible from outside my property, so I'd say that is probably/hopefully not a big issue...

Put some nice fashionable electric blinds on the windows.
Wheres the Stripper pole?

Yea, this is a Covid era purchase if you will. Right at the beginning of the pandemic the land across the street (and outside of the city limits) from my house opened up for sale and I nabbed it. Was on the market for only 2 hours and they had 13 offers right after I bought it. I got lucky. Came with a barn and another house. Below is a pic of my "city house" (in the red square) and the new construction site where I tore down the old barn. The below pic is the exterior photo of the new steel building to be the garage/mancave. It has full spray insulation, full heating and air, and will be setup as a house with an upstairs loft (home office, bedroom and bathroom), and extra bathroom downstairs, a full kitchen, etc... room for a dozen cars or so and entertainment areas. We will redo the extra house as a better guest house down the road. What I paid for this property would BLOW YOUR MINDS... And it's out of town, so I can shoot guns out there, do pretty much whatever. Only about 300 feet from my driveway. :)

I'll start a thread about this project as it gets closer to being finished this summer.
