If this is the Gallardo engine, how could Audi give more power on an S* than a Gallardo? Shouldn't the G car get the best tuned engine, since it's a "Lamborghini".
Thats what I'm telling you Raymond, those Germans are gonna mess around and screw everything up, no telling what kind of parts are going to cross over from model to model.

I can think of allot of cars I'd rather breed with than a damn Audi.

Any word on this? Wouldn't surprise me I suppose (the S8 getting the V10 that is). The upcomming Lamborghini SUV is supposadly to get the Gallardo's V10, but de-tuned.

Audi said they are done with the horespower wars

we just posted the GT's for the street article and it would really surpise me if the G was faster than the M anytime in the near future.
I agree the G will never be faster then the M. Lamborghini just couldn't let that happen.

I'm just suggesting that one of the reasons why the G doesn't have the 550bhp tuned V10 is that it would be too close or better in performance to the M.

Whats so bad about Audi? They have an awesome racing heritage. Far more successful than lambo have ever been in motorsport.

I think all the died in the wool (traditional, mostly older :)) Lambo guys share a common concern about a new era in Lamborghinis History..those loving these cars for decades now have had quite a roller coaster ride (and it hasn't all been fun). The fear could be of product crossbreading like GM/Pontiac, Lexus/Toyota, etc. Basisically rebadging and uping the sticker price. A marketing ploy that while successful monenitarly does not improve the breed. Audi, undeniably has a strong engineering background and when desired racing heritage. However their commitment and follow thru has mysteriously been lacking. The real question is will the two be better together than the sum of their former parts. At this point the outcome doesn't seem obvious which natuarally causes concern for Lambo guys. Let's hope the future lies somewhere in the vision of Enzo Ferrari when being interviewed after building the Daytona: " What is Your Greatest Car, Enzo, "The One I Haven't Built Yet" !
