For those that follow this section a lot. I have for months being tryiing to figure out why the Carter motor on my 6.0L Diablo stays on after I turned off the ignition. It would run continously even running down the battery unless I used the battery kill switch. I tried many things, replacing the motor, the #5 relay that controlles it, and the "Carter motor controller box" beside the LIE computer. All failed to make a difference.
In the end it turned out that the Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) simply needed to be readjusted. If the two screws that hold it to the air intake manafold loosen it will cause the problem. Actually the give away was that the carter motor did not readjust the throttle lever 3 times after the engine is turned off. I have written all this up and put it at the following URL in case anybody else runs into this problem. See
