Hi,
Thought I would share this article involving a Lamborghini Huracan in a fatal accident in New Zealand. Absolutely tragic. It is not yet known how the crash exactly happened. Below is a link to the article.

And this is your first post? Sheesh

I suspect speed but what do I know
Speed mixed with wildlife. Perhaps a deer. Sad.

If wild life was involved

Hobbits are indigenous to New Zealand... You're thinking of Wallaby.

Unrecognizable. That could be a pic of anything. Poor fellas…..
Crazy. I've been spooked since last fall over an incident and don't drive my car very often anymore. I was at a four way stop and it was my turn to turn left. Turning and going left it was a single lane but the right lane adjacent you could go straight or turn right. Sitting there and waiting to turn right (I think they were texting) was a monster jacked up Ford quad cab. Since I got an uneasy feeling. I hesitated for a split second as I pulled out before committing to turning and a yellow Mustang going about 40 mph blew through the stop sign and missed my front end by less than a foot. Had I not hesitated I would have been T-boned. I speculate they didn't see the sign because of the truck blocking it and/or weren't familiar with the area.

It made me realize how vulnerable a person is in a Huracan. At 6'2" tall I would have at the very least got my legs mangled and a bunch of other bad stuff. I find it odd the Huracan does NOT have side curtain airbags. Not to mention there is literally nothing between you and the front of the car. I always felt safe in my AMG GTR because it had a front hood that stretched into the next county. So in other words you had some meat there for protection. In four years I've logged 31K miles in two Huracans. So after that incident I don't want to push my luck and basically drive it early in the morning and on an occasional weekend for now.

If I can’t see the oncoming traffic I simply don’t move until I have a clear view, I don’t care if people honk. Also if a truck is blocking my view and the driver is telling me to go I don’t bother trusting them, I’ll wait until they’ve moved out of the way.

Huracan are very solid and safe cars. I'm afraid this guy was driving at a crazy speed on a country road.
You have to drive using your feet, your hands but, most important, your brain.

Latins used to say: "Est modus in rebus; sunt certi denique fines quos ultra citraque nequit consistere rectum."
Transleted is: there is a mean (or middle) in everything. There are therefore precise boundaries beyond which one cannot find the right thing.

I'm stealing that quote when I get pulled over for driving between the lanes, right at the dotted lines :)
:ROFLMAO:

6 airbags, driver front/pass, 2 curtain, driver/pass knee
6 airbags, driver front/pass, 2 curtain, driver/pass knee
The 2 curtain you are referring to are the ones in the seat (thorax) for a total of six. There is not a dedicated side curtain bag on the A pillar that also covers the driver's window. Maybe Lambo somehow counts that as a thorax/side curtain combo or something. Almost all cars have eight not six. Especially at this price point.

2 front
2 knee
2 side airbags (seat/thorax)
2 side curtain airbags (head/upper chest)

When you do, slowly look at his crotch and emphasize the ‘rectum’ part of the quote. It might get you somewhere 😜

In Miami (and probably most major cities) you just can’t trust anybody to follow the rules. So unfortunately only the paranoid survive - and on the flip side ‘nice drivers’ don’t end up getting anywhere. Many times if you signal for a lane change somebody will speed up to not let you in.

at the end of the day, trust the plan that god has for you, if it’s your unfortunate time to get mangled, it will not matter what car you are driving —— just saying, don’t let a slight set back keep you away from your lambo
