I put out enought exhaust fumes to choke a small animal.. Obviously, the test pipes contributes to the problem, but it is really bad. Is there any way of over riding the ecu to lean out the car? Any suggestions before considering a set off free flow cats?

Frank,

I would suggest you test the exaust on an Exhaust Gas Analyzer to see what the numbers really are and to insure the engine is running within the specified numbers.

you should see numbers in the range of - 0.80% - 1.0% CO & 100 - 150 PPM HC at idle....and slightly less at 2500 RPMs.

If the numbers are not in that range it means the engine has some type of an issue.

Regards, JRV

Any idea of what the list of "usual suspects" would be for excessive high HydroCarbons? I'm really high.

Rt Bank .8-1.0 CO & 300-500HC

Lt Bank .9-1.2 CO & 900-1100 HC
