Hi all, is the thermostat on the 93 Diablo a common part? I am wanting to change the stat as the temperature seems to move about a fair bit, mostly sitting about 80 degrees and then climbing to 90 when driven hard. I thought thermostats should stay at one temperature all the time??

They are a common and easy to get part. No need to change. 90 is normal and 90-100 is normal in summer heat...stop and go. Back on freeway should hold at 90.

They do "move" and not hold at one temp. Part of it is how much air is blowing on the car, fans kick on and it will go down, etc.

Another issue to be aware of is that early cars had a grounding issue in the gauge that will make it go up when adding electric load, ie lights, A/C, etc.

Not to worry, all is good.
