Sorry if this topic has been answered before, I didn’t see a clear yes or no answer when I searched the forums. I’m in the process of buying a 2006 Gallardo with a clutch snapshot of 48%. I understand it’s not an immediate thing to replace the clutch but it’s going to need one sooner rather than later. I’ve been working on cars my whole life and have done more than a few clutch replacements. I’ve watched the video series on YouTube about replacing the Gallardo clutch so I feel reasonably confident in my mechanical abilities. Bleeding the clutch is where I’m a bit lost. You need special software get the car to bleed the system? Is there a DIY around that or software you can buy to talk to the car? The Lamborghini dealer wants $18k to do a clutch job, and another shop wants $12k. Any advice or opinions would be greatly appreciated!

I bought a used Texa kit from them with the supercar program and paid $4k . You can also buy the warranty in which covers tech support . They can walk you through on how to use it.
You will also need a laptop with about 20gigs of free space to download the software.

All in all, depending on how you drive your car that 48% is thousands of miles left so you should have time to make a decision. Also, that's way too expensive for a clutch job. Here in south FL its done around for $8k

Keep an eye out on Ebay for a used Texa. I lucked out 3 weeks ago and purchased a Texa with supercar installed and nano for $1,300 out of Italy. After shipping and VAT, I got it for less than $2K. Listing was all in Italian but translated showed everything I needed. Got it last week and works great with my G. I looked for over 3 years and it paid off. Just make sure you read the listing well.
