E gear limp mode, any way to reset without texa/lara/leonardo?

Got a e gear limp mode today when i took the car out from winter sleep.
I think it didnt like when i tried to move the car and since it was on ice, wheels slipped, car didnt move and had the error appear.
Prior to starting engine, i tested the gears and it worked so it must be somekind of false issue.

Had no prior issues last year, had battery tender on so cant be low voltage issue.

Is there anyway to reset the limp mode without obd tools?
As there is nobody in Finland who has one of the tools to read/reset pre-lp e gear system.
Only option would be to drive it to Estonia but i really wouldnt want to do that if any way possible.

Hmmmmm, does the old disconnect the battery and turn the key to start and hold for 30 seconds work? Some older cars it would work to reset the ECU but I have no idea if that would work here.....
My Gallardo went into limp mode and I drove it home turned the engine off and on several times and it came back to normal. Also maybe try an egear reset.
Ordered texa nano s + supercar. I have no patience to find an alternative solution :D

I like having it. Not cheap but works well and if you have several cars it can pay for itself in savings over bringing cars to the shop or dealer.

It is good for you! Once you get it you will be able to scan any Supercar :)
Diagnostics independence is priceless for our cars.
Texa received. Read errors with it and cleared them twice before it didnt give me codes.
Gave me a code for speed sensor or something. Probably a false code as it worked perfectly fine last year.

Hey! 06' gallardo here, just found this thread and have the same issue.. battery died, got it replaced (cuz y not. Battery was old anyway) but car is stuck in limp mode. Was the texa the only solution? I'm leaning towards getting one as well, or if I can just rent one - that would be gold.

Yes and no. Drive the car a bit, then stop. Turn power on and off 4 times and check if it goes away. If not, then you need texa as somethings wrong.

I had to reset 2 times with texa before the error went away.

Ok, I'll try driving it and the on and off. It feels and drives the same as usual, outside the egear light and limp mode. Was thinking idk if something is in fact off and may make it worse or something. I'm not near any dealerships so the shipping and servicing is probably near the same as the texa. Still looking to see if anyone locally already has one (lambo owner), but doubt it.

The most common issue to pop the limp mode is the VSS sensor but theres really no way of telling unless you scan the codes.

On and off 4 times is a soft reset. If all is fine, it resets the errors. But if not, it doesnt do anything.
There is a E-gear reset. You hold both paddles back for 10-15 seconds. Do a search and you'll find it.

This doesnt work if you have a fault. Its a different kind of reset.

Sounds good, trying it all once more. Is the Texa you got able to do near everything the Lara system can accomplish?

Thanks, yup tried it as well and no dice. I haven't tried actually driving the car so I'll take it around a few times. I just tried the battery rest again, and letting it idle for 5 to 15 mins without touching it. Lol, I'm on my last leg hear but have read to try this as well.
No way to bypass it. Texa or Lara are able to reset the error.
