To all you guys I know there are other threads out there regarding clutch replacement on the Gallardo.
I can highly recommend Sean @ Hi Tech Exotics on his very well manufactured Kevlar clutch assembly.
The clutch replacement took about 7 days from time of order and shipped to Australia straight away.
the replacement was done in about 14 to 16 hrs all up.
The exhaust clamps giving us the most trouble as I have a UK delivered car and all clamps were corroded.
The studs had to be re drilled and new ones were put in.
The Kevlar clutch is very light and great engagement with all gears.

What is the life span of a kevlar clutch? By this I mean is it for example twice as tough? And whats the difference in toughness between a kevlar and sintered clutch? Anyone know? I get the feeling there arnt enough gallardos out there with high enough mileages to get an acurate answer. I was told between 3 and 4 times life for a sintered clutch, how the hell would they know. No evidence. I am writing this post after several beers so hope it makes sense.

From what I hear from existing customers the kevlar will last at least 300% more than OEM...

I also have Hi Tech Exotic's kevlar in my Gallardo.My original only lasted 8k.I have put about 15,000 miles on my kevlar which is twice as long as my stock and I still have about 60-65% left.It looks like it should last 4-5 times longer than my stock eventhough Hi Tech Exotic claims only 2-3 times longer.

Beers? A Lambo owner? You'd be a lot more lucid drinking wine. Not saying you weren't lucid though.

I just finished putting a Hi Tech clutch in a manual 04 gallardo about 3 hours ago. I haven't driven it yet but Sean was more than helpful and the clutch showed up 2 days later from clear across the country. I can definitely tell a difference in pedal pressure which will probably be helpful for the customer who owns the vehicle since he has some issues with the seating position in the vehicle. I'll let you know tomorrow how it drives but from all the feed back on the site it seems everyone is more than happy with these clutches.

Can wait to receive and fix-up my Gallardo as she has been sitting in the garage for 3 weeks. This time not only given her new clutch, I will dress her up with LP560 bumper and carbon fiber SL wing from RSC Tuning... Hope she will be happy of it...

I had this problem, I didn't put the same crappy studs back in, after drilling out the old studs which was a major pain, we put anodised bolts in, so hopefully won't have this problem again!

I had this problem, I didn't put the same crappy studs back in, after drilling out the old studs which was a major pain, we put anodised bolts in, so hopefully won't have this problem again!

I have a bunch of nice "speed clamps" left over from my exhaust that I can send to people if you guys want. instead of being 2 "C" sections it's a solid O that you tighten with a screw.
