Hi there, I have a 97 SV without rear cats. I am sure some one out there must have removed the heavy muffer (that huge rectangular box )with some sort of replacement trying to trim dowm some weight off the rear and at the same time improve the performance a bit. I have once tried to replace it with some sort of light weight coiled pipe but it generated noise that was unbearable to me and my neighbour. Any advices and suggestions to me along this topic? ( Look exactly the same as the Larini product, butcharge me less than half of the price)

By the way, the specs of every Diablo comes different even if they are produced in the same year. Mine got an engine no.series 132 SE with vario timing management system which my technician said its output should reach 530hp just like the late 1998 model.

Can anyone help?

Hi. Appreciated for your response. The exhaust is made of high-graded stainless steel. It is a direct copy from an British made.(NO IDEA WHETHER IS A BRANDED PRODUCT WHICH WOULD HAVE COST US$1,500 )Are you doing this on a Diablo? What's the model and year of made. Apart from the sound, what are the pros and cons?

Mines a 98 SV, the only other benifit is weight savings, but it's much less then the 120 lbs I heard someone claim. More like 50 or 60. Installation is pretty easy, the hardest part is alignment, its not perfect and you have to muscle the tubes some, but every car can't be exactlly the same so I excused it.

Your SV might be a late model 97. Your car could very well be the variable valve engine with 530hp. Do you have the bigger brakes w/ ABS as well?

Hi Ray

Yes, my baby is powered by a variable valve engine with four 18 inches wheels and big cross-drilled discs and brakes.

By the way, I've looked at your car in your file, we share the same colour as well but my oil cap is the silver round one which needs a key to open. Clumsy but stylish.

Any other mod. you did to yours? How the handling and power/torque changed after installing the Larini exhault? I heard that the increased space at the engine compartment helps to cool down the engine temperature as well.
