Since my clutch plate has to be replaced we found also the flywheel to be in a not too good shape:

The question is now, can the flywheel be turned flat or do I have to replace it, are there any measures for the flywheel to decide whether it can be turned or has to be replaced?

In the Diablo service manual I found
Flywheel:
Thickness 36 +/- 0,15
Max thickness reduction 1
surface roughness 3,2 Ra

Clutch disk
overall thickness 9,3 +/- 0.3
Max disk wear 2

Am I right that the flywheel can have 1mm thickness reduction?

Raymond, I don't know if I would do that, my bigest concern would be heat or stress cracks in the flywheel itself. How much is a new flywheel?
Sincerely Vic

I can't remember the exact price but I fear it's pretty expensive...
The other thing is the availability, the car has to run in about 2 weeks

Raymond,
On my QV I replaced the disc and resurfaced both the flywheel and pressure plate slightly 10 years ago due to mentioned heat cracks on the flywheel because of a worn out clutch disc. Sorry I dont' remember the thickness after the job but I have had no problems ever since. Parts were inspected again 2-3 years ago at the Lamborghini factory (engine out) and no issues were found. Just replaced the 17 year old Fichtel & Sachs release bearing. Even the disc was at 90% of original tickness. One thing I remember being odd 10 years ago was that the car was working fine and suddenly the clutch started slipping without any warning.

Seems that a big part dealer (Derendinger, like Napa in US) has a cluch disc for 600Nm which fits perfect, costs about $500, tomorrow I know more.
The pressure plate needs only a little bit of sanding, perhaps the flywheel can be turned, let's hope this is the case...

I just got an answer from the part specialists, for the cost of $500 I get my old clutch disc back with new stronger facings (they are riveted on the disc), the flywheel turned, pressure plate surfaced and the whole stuff will also be balanced.

Really good news :D

Raymond,I don't have any experience with Lambo fly wheels but lots with small block chevys. You can resurface the flywheel as long as you don't go too deep and loose the heat treating, the main concern is flatness and finish, still seeing some heat stress cracks are okay, this is part of the heat treating. Watch out how much you take off of the pressure plate, that's where you should be concerned. The pressure plate bolts to the flywheel by the flange on the pressure plate...the flywheel is constant but remove anything off the pressure plate and you lose that thickness and pressure on the disc. Hope this helps.Andy

The pressure plate is fine, the company which is doing all is specialized on this, if they say it's no problem it's none...
Imagine how cheap I came to a complete new clutch, $500 for a clutch disc with facings good for more than 600Nm, flywheel turned and pressure plate surfaced.
You see once the engine is out there are plenty of thing you can do at the same time, which makes it cheaper overall.

Got it back...

Flywheel turned 1,5mm, clutch disc sand blasted, new springs and new racing facings which can handle up to 700Nm. Pressure plate surfaced and the whole thing was balanced.
