Nice photo, but why would we want to put a Ferrari in our calendar? :whip:
Thanks JRV. The car did very well. In basically stock form (except exhaust) with street tires I was running low 1:05's where the F40 with the full race kit, slicks, and very acomplished pro driver was running 58's. The car was 2 to 3 seconds a lap faster than the ten 360's that were at the track and only 3 seconds off the pace of a Viper with slicks driven by a Viper Instructor. The only downside was that by the end of the second day I had overheated the brakes and had gone through a brand new set of P Rosso's.
One more.
P.S. In the top pic in the last post my car was being driven by Roland Linder 3 time Le Mans winner and the driver of the F40 in my original post. With him driving the car ran 1:03's and I don't think he was pushing all that hard considering he was talking to me the whole time!
Sorry last pic didn't post. Here it is again.
What about if the Lambo was winning ?? that would be a much better calender shot
What did Roland Linder have to say about the Gallardo on the track?
the 360s were 3 seconds slower than the F40,and you were 8? that cant be right....?

i think he ment the 360s were 3 secs slower than the G-car.

P.s. awesome photos, especially the last on your 2nd post, with the two red 360s behind the lambo, that would be a excelent calander pic.
I did mean the 360's were three seconds slower than me not the F40. Roland loved the G. He said that right out of the box with no mods it is one of the best cars he has driven. Even more telling is that one of my passengers on the day was the head Ferrari mech for a local dealer and he said and I quote "I didn't realize that the Gallardo was this good. It is so much better than the 360 that Ferrari is really going to have to come up with something big for the next generation 360 (F430). But I'm obviously not going to tell any of my customers that." I'm trying to get some info from Lamborghini about turning my car into a full track car but haven't got much (any) feedback. Ideas anyone?

Love the F mech quote!! :)

People just don't realize how awesome Lambos are because so few get to actually drive them, let alone on a track!!!

Wayne Skiles (member) is the man to ask, he ran his G in the Silver State Challenge and had to contact anyone that would listen for Internal Rollcage Cage Specs & 5 point harness mounting specs.
remember G is a newer car than 360...so it maybe because of the G was still running-in and that's why there was only 3 secs ahead...hahaha

That is why Ferrari needs the F430 to save face.
Great pics!! Where in Denver are you? I have a group of guys out here that like to get together from time to time and have some fun. I was going to order a Gallardo in Jan but with the news of a higher hp version coming next year I may just hold off until then. I have driven a Gallardo on two test drives and absolutely loved the limited time I spent in it. :)
