Were off to a new year with a bang, a pothole bang! First sports car of the year and it's a Lambo, I photographed this winter beater Performante. Tire is shot and quite possibly the rim is warped too, looks like a pothole hit. A pot hole strike on those low profile tires has no forgiveness. The picture with dirt under the PPF you can see another wheel with a gouged rim and tire.

Take a look at the wing, forged carbon or dirt?

So disrespectful. That owner doesn’t deserve a Lamborghini.
Apparently its a daily driven Huracan so I can give the owner the benefit of the doubt as long as he isn't blatantly abusing the car. I live in a city that has more potholes than roads so I am slightly sympathetic. Couldn't imagine driving the H on those roads though...

In Canada we have something different than Ground Hog day, we have Gallardo day, unfortunately he didn't see his shadow which means another 3 weeks of snow. :( Plus another month and a half of pothole slalom. It's coming soon though! I need to order spark plugs and new magnetic ride rear shocks. I'll be ready to test out this new $8400 differential replacement job from last December. If I have time, I'll open the diff to see if I can repair it, parts seem to be pretty rare even if it's a Chevy. I didn't even think to check the Valet camera to see how the mechanics treated the car, it's still in there so I'll take a look when I uncover the car.

Last Friday I decided to renew the plates and take the car out of storage but their website was completely fubar so I went in person only to drop the idea as soon as I got there when I saw a lineup outside, my estimate 2-3 hours of wait time and they would close before I got to a clerk.

I glimpsed this Maclaren today and I was so disappointed I wasn't out in my own car or able to take better pictures. After dinner I unwrapped the car after 4 months of hibernation, I started it, what a cold start rip! I watched the videos in the PDR as I hadn't the chance to see what the mechanics were up to when they swapped the diff. I did see in one video a policeman in the garage taking a camera from a tool chest and photographing probably someone's wheel, that was a little strange! I'm happy to announce when the guy went out for a test drive he didn't act crazy, no revs, he took it to a touchless car wash, I guess he saw I was in valet mode and he knew to behave.

I'm going to try my hardest to get the car on the road this week, hopefully I can catch a break and not too many people waiting in line. SOON!

I waited in line 2 hours to plate the car and potential clients were calling but I didn't want to turn back and lose my spot so I hoped I could reach them after I got out. I had another customer after that then I had to wait some more for the end of rush hour to hop in the car.

I stopped to put gas, a guy walked by looked at the car and exclaimed "wicked" so I smiled back. It shows spring is almost here, ricers were prancing like newborn ponies around the streets. While at a red light a girl came rushing out of a store to take pictures, after that I saw a "Hello Kitty" Hellcat, a 4 door Porsche car, a yellow one with a wing and a parked G wagon and on my way back in my rear view mirror a car was coming in fast to catch up, a Mustang, he seemed to want to race, no thanks, it's my first drive of the year, it was starting to get dark, the asphalt is cold at 5C with so many potholes it's a recipe to crash and look like an idiot.

The ride sure boosted my morale! :)

I've been seeing many R8s and, a few C7, Porsches, a white Mac, a few cars from last year and many C8 Corvettes 6-7 of them, white, red, yellow and an orange one yesterday. I'm glad I dropped the idea of trying to get a Z07 allocation!

@2Tired I was cruising along when this guy showed up from behind wanting to play, I indulged a little bit and suddenly he was far behind, I bet his girlfriend told him to calm down. I bet he can't wait to see me again when he's alone. :) My GF likes the car a lot.

Hopefully he's at least stage 1 tuned. Surprisingly there are 2 near me in similar colored wraps. I think it's satin chrome red.

Oh I just checked the stock specs, around which horse power does it have 456hp, 503 hp or more?

503hp, stock, on the GTS. But thanks to the twin turbos, you can tune it up over 600hp for around $1500, in about 10mins. For $8-10k, you can push 900hp+.

Another cool 570s, the rear end is my favorite, the diffusers, the tail lights and exhaust, so tempting to go over to the dark side. They are however overpriced just like the Huracan bubble, one car I keep my eyes on is priced like an H in 2021. On the other hand the difference in prices between the two brands could probably pay for a blown engine.

You'd also have to factor in your annual warranty costs into the price of the Mac. 😁

My experience of the original and extended factory Corvette warranty made me realize it is not worth it as it's just an expensive piece of paper and dealers do not always honor it and GM who seems to outsource customer service to Pakistan told me not their problem and take it up to the dealer. So would I have to sue GM every time to win to have them fix anything? Believe it or not when the warranty expired I felt weights lift off my shoulders as I didn't have to fight their nonsense and refusal to repair the car each time. Now I just go online order parts and repair it myself.

Anyway my GF always talks me out of a Mac and stick to the H plan. :)

On most other cars, that would be the case, but on the Mac, it's a necessity. I know that most of my Mac buddies have gotten their monies worth of the $4k+ per year warranty. One of them has had his 650S in the shop 3 or 4 times in the last 9 months.

A rainy day yesterday we decided to go see a movie, we used my GF's car all of a sudden in a park we were going through coming the opposite way was a matt black Aventador! Wide eyed I woke the hell up, I craned my neck to see a dealer plate hanging out back, the driver going slowly in the rain and beads puddling on the hood. I was upset I was not the one driving or else I would of gotten a picture for my collection.

That was a WTF moment so many hidden Lambos here it's amazing. Hopefully I'll see it again this summer.

Their customer service is questionable but their food is excellent!

A couple days ago at a red light I saw a guy pointing to his girl to move a little bit to her left to pose for him which was in direct line with me, he quickly took out his phone to take a couple pictures. I could clearly see the lens was pointing at the car instead of her. I didn't have time to react fast enough to snap some of my own but it was hilarious.

Sunday evenings when most have gone home you think it'll be an uneventful drive but a few of us have the same idea to go out for a cruise, I had seen this car a couple times last year but never close enough to get some shots until today. It is such a rare sports car that everyone at the red light had their phone out snapping away, even the little girl was thinking what is that! I won't post the car but here are the spectators.
