Looks great, I love that interior!!!Blend mount did fit on my Evo but returned it after trying it out. It does block to much and is in the way. I use an Escort 360 Max and the new suction cups work great. And then like in all my cars i hardwire it to fuse panel. Very easy to tuck wire into trim down to fuse panel. I then use an add a circuit and put it on a fuse that turns on and off with car
FWIW I share the opinion that the blend mounts place the radar detector in a terrible spot - it obstructs your view across the windshield, it keeps your radar in a location that can be seen from several view points outside the car (even if you’re in a legal state like Florida cops do not respond well when they see the radar). And lastly they just look like they were concocted out of a black smith.. it has a very agricultural look in a beautiful car.
Agreed fully! In almost every setup, a button on the top side is cumbersome. Love my Valentine one as is. I bought it ten years ago, and went to upgrade it last year and they sent me a brand new one. Great company in my view.Someone asked me earlier in another thread if I was going to upgrade to the Valentine 1 Gen2 from my trusted and beloved V1. My V1 has been flawless. So I'm of the opinion why upgrade? Don't want to run into another situation like the Lambo infotainment system. To me it clearly was a downgrade.
On first look I can already tell you I don't like the on/off button and the two volume controls on the top. Ergonomics look/seem way better on the V1 - knobs vs. buttons. As far as bluetooth capabilities on the new one. I could careless. Bluetooth connectivity is not the end all be all. Most of the time you end up fiddle ****ing around to get it to work on almost anything. No thanks. I'll pass.
