Aventador TT Engine build!!

Figured i would post some new content in here not likely seen. Customer came in with a blown motor that put a large hole in the engine block from a bad twin turbo tune. Engine is receiving custom CP Pistons and Carillo Rods along with custom valves and springs for the cylinder heads. Enjoy

That tune will remain the same unless changes or reverted back to stock, what’s the plan for the v12?

Clutch upgrade is a must I am learning after the see even stage 1 kits needing a clutch upgrade, the only people doing V12 correctly are completely rebuilding the entire engine, even for 1000hp. Those engines are just not as durable as the v10 and require lots of upgrades to make the power work without the problems

Will receive a carbon ceramic clutch similar to what we offer for the TT gallardos.

Ahhhhh now that’s legit, getting him all dialed. Yep the other shop can’t do Motec, he can’t even do Syvecs without having someone do it for him. Glad to see it’s getting properly sorted. I eventually will do engine internals also. Eventually then I can bring in the power earlier, maybe a bit heavier..;))

I have a TT STO on Motec with stage 5 trans, clutch basket , gearset 1-7 etc

Nice about to do an AWD conversion on this one. Even with 17s out back it was a struggle to get it to hold the power.

17 is a tight fit with the brake caliper right? I am at 18 in the back and sheeeesh it’s close!
Yes needs the billet ebrake caliper from IROZ.

How do you feel about the conversion on the STO? My main question is how in the world are people doing high HP on STO and still like the rear wheel steer, that’s my only gripe about high HP with the STO is the rear wheels dancing around while I am trying to go straight. Counter steering with rear wheel steer is sketchy on boost. I am already worried about getting arrested just trying to find a spot to give her some beans. That’s the stressful part as I don’t want to get in trouble or get the car taken. I drive around on Map 1 happy as a clam, and that’s plenty fast for the street.

Could you make a YouTube video explaining your work? You would be the first one. There is already a serie of video about a Murcielago engine rebuilt that is quite successful.

I think we plan to go more into depth on my personal v12 engine build. It will be found on my customers youtube channel Houston Crosta in the coming weeks. Doing a closed deck and custom valves and springs as we find the springs to be a failure point in the heads.

Valve float, or the spring is breaking?

My h6 engine got valve float at 9k on e30 782hp and was dropping shims, motor sent out and we did Ferra custom springs, came back it lasted one minute and tore the entire bottom end, sent out came back and it tore the entire bottom end bearings again during startup. Didn’t even get it started, it wouldn’t start at all, just loud squealing of the bearings being destroyed. After the horror of it all and having a brand new engine installed at Porsche, I am done building engines on Porsche, trusting shops that build TT kits and cannot build the engine in house, my engine was sent to Arizona and it was a nightmare every time to send it, drop it out, too many hands on the engine. Too many fubars. The flywheel was all bent out of shape, the dme needed to be replaced , just an absolute nightmare. So now I stick to my 7lbs SC and map1 and that’s it, occasional map 3 pull, and it’s a street car, a very fast one, but that’s where I am at. Kinda burnt me out badly. But my VF and Sheepey build have been excellent, just that other shop Gintani and evo spec ugggg I just don’t what to say

I do know before all that happened I was pushing the limits of what my desires were and what the cars could do, I no longer have that desire, I am happy with smiles per mile, even if that means less HP. And a car that works every time
