I have searched and it seems the topic has come up a couple times for AWD cars without anyone following up. Just curious if RWD guys have tried the slightly taller front tire setup. My last AWD car I ran a 265/30/20 front tire without issue with a 305/30/20 rear.

Are you trying to get a taller tire for a better ride and/or fill the wheel well? A wider front tire will have a propensity to throw more rocks and gravel bits down the side of the car.

I am looking for a bit more comfort from the larger sidewall of the front tire. A little more reduction of wheel gap would just be a bonus.

I run 245/30/20 up front and 325/25/21 out back. I was told anything wider than 245 will rub on turns.

Wheel offset has a lot to do with rubbing as well.
