Just got off the phone with a dealer who mentioned that they received an email yesterday from Lamborghini stating that all Huracan production is ceasing, with only vehicles currently in production being completed, and all other orders being cancelled.

When I specifically mentioned the Tecnica, he said that everyone who put a deposit down isn't going to get their cars because the email said they're ceasing all production.

I can't imagine after all the resources they put into "creating" the Tecnica, despite supply chain constraints, that they'd just finish in-production cars and abandon the Huracan from now.

EDIT: He also mentioned the car isn't in their system anymore so they couldn't submit an order into it if they wanted.

Anyone else hear of this yet?

doesn't make any sense .. i guess something got lost in translation :censored:
He was pretty clear to me. Maybe something misheard from management to the sales guy.

I could see a salesman saying this in order to sell a pre-owned unit now vs. submitting an order. Well aware of the difficulties in ordering now so it's possible the dealer group just decided to tell folks that production is done with the Huracan and to sell the used inventory. ??

He seemed sincere, though I have a hard time believing that they would stop production now (as said, despite supply constraints making things difficult).

I guess this is not a permanent “ceasing” but rather the summer shutdown to retool the factory to build Tecnica.
Though that's not what he said, that's what I was thinking in the back of my head. It's possibly they're extending their 3 week shut down. He seemed to think (and state) that this was permanent based on the email they received yesterday. That's why I was wondering if there was another source out there that could confirm (or deny).

I was told by my dealer there would be no more production on EVO's, but Tecnica and STO's will continue through the end of the year.

That is my understanding at least as recent as a couple of weeks back......................... but from a value added perspective with two Huracans' in my possession, I like OPs' info. :ROFLMAO:
I thought I've read here that they stopped RWD EVO's (turning attention to Tecnica since they are RWD), but were still allowing AWD orders over the last 2 months or so?

Wish there was a more public indication from Lamborghini itself as to their direction/current status of what they can or will build.

I will contact my SA, the manager at the Charlotte dealership, and see if he has any information about this rumored change.

I just got off the telephone with Chase and all orders that have been submitted or validated are okay but Lamborghini is putting a hold on NEW orders for a few weeks only because the ordering system got a little overwhelmed with the transition to the Tecnica, and resulting in some temporary ordering chaos. Bottomline is the spigot is going to be cut off only for a few weeks to get all the dealership orders sorted but they are not stopping production of the Huracan.

Not from me or my dealer but someone shared this on Instagram. My dealer confirmed I have the LAST STO for them and the only 2023 STO at the dealership. My tecnica order is validated so it's safe.

No new orders and no more validating any un-validated orders.

This kind of looks like a corporate notice but there’s one word that makes me wonder about its authenticity…the word “literally.” I’ve never seen that word used in formal notices by any firm and it’s used mainly in conversation amongst my 21 yr old and her friends. Maybe her gen is writing corp letters now in their language on behalf of firms like Lambo??

I have the real email but I cannot share it - this is very much a real notice. What I posted was shared on social but I was able to get my hands done on the real email.

Chase was pretty adamant about the state of the Huracan’s future and I even explored the implication of supply chain issues and his explanations were both acceptable and reasonable. My money is on a temporary interruption only.

Could it be all future allocations are spoken for vs the amount of orders dealers have deposits for? But again your explanation seems more realistic.
