Since I'm a fan of silver, shiny wheels, I had to swap the Bronze colored wheels on my SVJ eventually. AL13's R80 wheels caught my eye -- I especially like the optional aero disk, as it makes the car look a bit more "racey".
I ordered the wheels at @Bulletproof Automotive. Many thanks again to Grant, who's relations to AL13 made it possible to go all in with the customization on the wheels. To avoid overdoing it, I only ordered the aero disk on the rear wheels. The disks where first painted and then milled on some of the faces. This creates a nice black/silver contrast similar to drag race wheels a la Weld. I went with polished beds inside and out on both front and rear.
Once the wheels showed up I had to lift the car and remove the old wheels. Figuring out where the lift points are was as easy as it was difficult. While the manual "shows" the location, it's missing the resolution to clearly indicate where they are. I ended up using the reinforced area in the front and the subframe lift points in the back. While you can get away with using lift points on the tub in the rear as well, the subframe points are further aft, giving more stability when the car is on a lift.
To be gentle to the car, I ended up using hockey pucks to shim the front and build some bespoke shims for the rear that fit in the recessed area of the subframe lift points.
The next challenge was that the car would not fit on my lift. I ended up shortening the arms -- a well invested day. Pics show my AMG GT Black Series which now also fits.
Finally some pics of the mounted wheels
