Aftermarket Exhaust Recommendations for LP Spyder

1615 Views 10 Replies 5 Participants Last post by  mia-toro
I wanted to engage with the LP Spyder owners who are driving with aftermarket exhausts. Stock LP exhaust is too quiet, especially compared to my Pre-LP with stock exhaust (but the valves were permanently open) .

I like driving with the top down and don't want an excessively loud exhaust. There will be a lot of personal preferences, but I'm interested to see your thoughts. I want to avoid CELs and drone. I hope to use the stock heat shielding to avoid melting the rear bumper and wires.

So are you saying you haven't done the 'permanently open' valve mod on your LP yet ? It's not a Huge difference, but it is definitely an improvement....even if only temporary.
I’ll look into this, thanks for the suggestion.
I went with Avior and am very pleased with the choice. I removed the heat shield and wrapped it with heat wrap. Alex was fantastic to work with, and I would buy it again if I had a do-over. The pricetag is very reasonable...money well spent!

Beautiful! I’ve stumbled across Avior after watching so many aftermarket exhaust videos for the LP. Avior sounds great! I will have to give them serious consideration. Thank you.

I installed an Fi system on my 2010 LP Spyder... did it myself over 3 days (took my time). Dumped the heat shield and wrapped it in titanium... valved system with two settings that are great when I pull into the neighborhood...
Do you have any sound clips of your Fi exhaust? Very few videos on YouTube.

Nice work installing the exhaust yourself btw, wish I had the tools and mechanical ability.
