Aftermarket Exhaust Recommendations for LP Spyder

1615 Views 10 Replies 5 Participants Last post by  mia-toro
I wanted to engage with the LP Spyder owners who are driving with aftermarket exhausts. Stock LP exhaust is too quiet, especially compared to my Pre-LP with stock exhaust (but the valves were permanently open) .

I like driving with the top down and don't want an excessively loud exhaust. There will be a lot of personal preferences, but I'm interested to see your thoughts. I want to avoid CELs and drone. I hope to use the stock heat shielding to avoid melting the rear bumper and wires.

I installed an Fi system on my 2010 LP Spyder... did it myself over 3 days (took my time). Dumped the heat shield and wrapped it in titanium... valved system with two settings that are great when I pull into the neighborhood...

I'll try and find some to post... I did it about 4 yrs ago. You won't get the high pitch scream of a pre-LP, but I felt the Fi was the closest, it is terrific with the top down and the valves are controlled by a wireless keyfob that works really well.

I think it is FabSpeed that has exhaust swap directions on their website (or at least they did)... I printed these out and went step by step. Alexis Dixon at Precision-Sport outside of Orlando is who I purchased from... I cannot say enough about them... I remember that I did the install over Labor Day weekend and they gave me the personal cell phone of their head mechanic if I ran into any issues... I called him twice I think when I wasn't sure (getting the old V-clamps to release was a challenge) and he answered immediately and was a tremendous help!

Dropped 50lbs of weight aft of the rear axle and also added some HP... win/win...
