hey guys, The clutch in the lambo has been replaced like 3 times! I am wondering if there are any aftermarket clutches I could use to further the life of it? I know burtoni has one, and I wouldnt really mind a little harder push. Its not that im a bad driver, i think these clutches are just not made for the hp? I dont know any info would help. Thanks!

I still find it incredible that the clutch life "design" is 15000 miles

I can't find the link on the old site. It keeps bringing me back to the new site. What is the URL for the search page of the old site?
Thx.

I couldn't get search to pull it up either. Look in the Tech Section & MODS Section..alot of clutch info there!!

Scott, you won't need to worry about mileage all you do is wash & wax yours!!! hahaha!!! :whip:

Gallardo Clutch

I Too Had A Gallardo E Gear , Clutch Failed After 4k, Lamborghini Replaced It After Me Threatening Them With Legal Action, There Is A Massive Problem With The Clutches On Gallardo Which No One Seems To Want To Admit,i Thik It Is Scandalous. I Have A 360 Modena F1 Which I Have Just Replaced The Clutch On After 20,000 Miles So Why Cant Lamborghini Get It Right. I Was Happy To Get Rid Of The Gallardo As I Had Nothing But Problems From Day One! It Is A Stunning Looking Car But The Build Quality Is Terrible. I Lost £33000 In 1 Year, 4 Months Of The Year The Car Was Back At Lamborghini With A Big List Of Faults. I Read On This Forum That Someone Says He Is Still On The Same Clutch After 20.000 Kms, He Obviously Works For Lamborghini As This Is Impossible, Buy A Ferrari You Wont Go Far Wrong, I Have A F430 On Order Which Although Might Not Look As Sharp As A Gallardo, It Is Certainly Different Class

We have a few Gallardo customers and they are all happy with their Gallardo. They were actually expecting more problems and they are pleasantly surprised how reliable Gallardo is. This is the first year for Gallardo and it's a brand new model so you expect a few minor problems.

Don't forget first year of ferrari 355. It had valve clearance problems and connecting rod issues which you had to rebuilt the engine and THAT'S A BIG PROBLEM AND REPAIR.

We had a 360F1 and it needed the hydraulic pump for F1 which is about $12,000 so I hope you'll never need that.

We have a Kevlar clutch that lasts 300% longer than a stock clutch.

When did u sell it?

Spec'd up an e-gear is ~130k. Even now 1 year old ones are still going for over 100k. How did u manage to lose 33k?

I've done 30,000km on my e-gear clutch and based on wear measurements, Lamborghini Australia expects it will need to be replaced at about 50,000km (30,000miles). That's not too bad IMO.

I am sorry to but in I am a new Gallardo owener I just received my car 2 weeks ago. I love it I had a 360 spyder before it. I think that a clutch in a performance car should go at least 50,000 miles , and 100,000 on a standard car. Lambo's have had clutch problems forever. It supprises me that audi has not addresed it. After all my porsche twin turbo has over 30,000 miles and the clutch is in perfect condition.
