Slipping clutches on a hill vs a power adder like a blower are to different things. Clutches typically are only capable of handling so much hp. As you move up to a stronger clutch, you have less "forgiveness" for day to day driving. All the parts will be fine...until you can get the power to the ground. :wave:bunkhound said:...And these times were when using minimal power and revs, so it wouldn't have made any difference if the engine was "capable" of 100, 500, or 1000HP. Seems that any clutch problems (at least with the e-gear) have been restricted to engagement/slipping issues at low torque demand, and probably mainly due to the relatively unnecessarily high gear ratios in first.
