All-
I was just looking at the underside of my 6.0 Diablo. In particular, I was looking at the tailpipes. I have a parts manual that shows hoses and terminals that connect into the exhaust tip area that open and close the valves to control noise and different engine loads. I just looked at the underside on my tailpipes and see no such hoses connections or anything that would trigger valves to open and close. The tailpipes are just metal, no connectors or connection areas whatsoever.

What gives?
Thx.

tailpipes

Hi...

Are you the first owner of the car? Are you sure the exhaust system was not changed/replaced? Somebody could change the exhaust system for more power and better sound in low rpm. Ask your dealer about it.

By the way... can you get me some info from the parts manual?

The ehxaust is definitely stock. I just need to find out if the part manual is wrong or if my car came without the noise control system.

I figure someone can look under the rear of their 6.0 and quickly tell me if the tail pipes have any hoses coming out of them.

6.0 tail pipes

I own a performance shop for only exotics and we have serviced and upgraded several 6.0's and the tail pipes you are looking at in your parts manual is for some euro models or any country that requires noise regulators.
here is the page in the parts manual that shows both styles of tailpipes...

I am having some problems re-sizing the image, i could try E-mailing it to you..
