I was told conflicting opinions on how to fix this. Anyone seen this before?

Hmmm, I’d just make sure there weren’t any obvious disconnects or joints that have become unsoldered.

Other than that, I’d prolly buy a new light.

I just looked up that light. ~$1k. I'd give it a go for a DYI fix for that. If I was unable to fix it, at least I'd learn how to take it apart and let me see under the wing.

The dealer and a trusted local guy both said it typically needs to be replaced and cannot be fixed….I’ll let you know what happens.
