2023 STO: How to keep exhaust valves open?

Hello everyone,

My 2023 Arancio Xanto STO just arrived. Can anyone point to any guides/videos on how to adjust/pull vacuum tubes in the exhaust system to keep valves open at all times without installing electronics? I do not mind then being open all of the times and do not need a controller.

Beautiful car OP! Huge congrats!! Post more pics when you get a chance. I installed the forza module on my 2022 STO but always leave the valves open. 20 min install, super easy, and works well. I ordered a 2023 STO and plan to have the dealer unplug the vacuum line. I would talk to them , they should be able to do it for you free of charge.

Thank you. And here is the inherent problem. Dealer charged me $600 and said they did the vacuum lines except the car starts pretty nice but within 30 seconds or so you can hear it quiet down.
Is it after a cold start? Mine also does that on cold start. You can look and see if the valves are staying open or shut. If closed take back to dealer

Yes after a cold start. But I thought the whole idea was that if the vacuum lines are pulled/modified that it should not quiet down and stay open and loud the entire time?

Cold start rpm / rev is higher so it’s louder. After a minute rpm comes down & sounds quiets down but sounds like you valves are staying open. Take a look in your tail pipes, you can see them and tell if open or closed but sounds like it’s working properly.

how do you like sto mode? Idont like how it hits 7th gear by 30mph. Have to manual shift

Look at your RPM's, you will see them higher which makes car louder on cold start. Then you will see RPM drop to normal after a few seconds and car will then quiet down. That is probably the difference in sound you are hearing. I had same thing with a Valveless Exhaust on my LP610
EDIT: Hkalavi beat me by seconds :)

Yikes that's horrible, 30 MPH should be second gear 3rd at most. Are you sure it's not called Slo Mode?

I'm guessing that STO mode is essentially just Strada, in the other Huracan variants, which does the same thing. It wants to default to 7th the majority of the time, and doesn't really downshift until you are nearing a stop, or you give it the beans.

I was just thinking same, I forget my car even has Strada mode but the couple times I did use it it was doing that same thing STO Mode does. But does seem strange to call the slowest setting on car "Sto Mode"

Why would anyone drive their Lamborghini in auto shift? Corsa and paddles 100%.

Do you have Sport Mode? If I ever want to drive in Auto mode I use Sport. Holds gears much longer and love it when you are cruising along in 5-6 and slam gas it drops a couple gears and rockets you forward

Lmao, my thoughts exactly. The 3 modes are STO (Strada), Trofeo (Corsa), and Pioggia. I know Pioggia is supposed to be a 'wet' mode, but idk how the transmission behaves in it.

I do for long drives, especially just cruising on the highway, since it's the only mode that cruise control works in. Wish I had an exhaust valve button, like my AMG has, or better yet an individual mode, to tailor a mode to my preferences, so that when I'm cruising on the highway I can still have the valves open, while in Strada

Only time for me is if I was eating a burger or my passenger starts getting frisky.

LOL. I don’t eat in my Performante and I’m 81 years old so a frisky passenger is a wet dream!

Disconnect vacuum line to valves or get a valve controller
