The new SL is going to be based on the RWD version of the Huracan. As expected, there will be elements from the Huracan GT3 on the SL

Hope Lambo actually number this car so the value will be somewhat protected, they have a lot to learn from Ferrari in terms of protecting car values and not flooding the market with their cars.

Please do feel free to post pics or information relevant to the SL

Gonna look good.
Oh man - that rear diffuser looks like it's going to be something special.

Can't wait.
Love the placement of the exhaust.
Agree. It will be an incredible car.
Unfortunately I can't stand wings :(
I prefer AWD
Will hv to see how it plays out. So SL will be rwd? That's a first
Thanks yogi
Cool looking car cant wait to see one
That's going to be awesome. Love the exhaust and the wing.
Thanks for the pics :) The latest I was told is that the car may not getting the SL letters and instead GT3 like the Porsches. It is indeed based on the 580 with RWD but the CCB are standard like on the 610.

The wing is kinda hight on this one. Also the angle sacrifice top speed but increases grip in turns. Together with the diffusor this points to more power output that has to be distributed to the ground and therefore more downforce is needed.

I like the exhaust placement as well, but somehow think a square outlet or something like on the AV would look nicer :)
I myself have also heard about Lambo using a new naming system for the hardcore Baby Lambo's so the SL name might die with the Gallardo.

However the SV will be staying put as it's to do with the heritage on earlier cars, of course that's only reserved for the flagship models.

Car will feature heavier downforce than previous SL's as well as more forged carbon materials inside and out of the car.

Expect tweaks to the gearbox, suspension and steering to make for a more spirited drive.

I assume the car will be shown at the Paris Motor show with deliveries in the first quarter of 2017
The car looks to be pretty finished on the spy photos and I agree that it may be shown in Paris in October. I guess I plan a trip to the city of love to just see the car in person :)
Love the exhaust, love they changing the name (it'll keep SL G's with an exclusive special name, like Scuderia vs Speciale), and love the wing.

I like it completely (for now).
I wonder if the wing height was because if it was any lower it would completely kill what little rear view you have?

I kinda knew Lambo would make it higher, because when I saw aftermarket wings on the Huracan, I always thought they were a bit low, because from certain angles of the car, you can't see them that much for some reason. And they kind of are a wasted point.
Glad and Sad I didn't put a deposit down on the SL. I'm not a fan of the Rwd but the looks of it's beautiful. Might just have to do the conversion kit on mine when it comes out.

Thx for the photos Monsieur Yoge.

I don't think Lamborghini is attending the Paris show so I assume this car will be shown at the Geneva show in March.

That would make sense but I can't imagine them waiting that long on a car that is completed?
My dealer told me the SL will start around $370k Canadian dollars. If this is true, you're looking at close to $400k with options.
