(The oil fill cap has a lot of frothy brown around the rim ) It doesn't mean that head gasket is blown. is it over heating or losing coolant from coolant expansion tank?Hiya!
I just picked up a 2016 roadster, and I think the head gasket is going or blown. 28k miles
No exhaust smoke or anything.
The oil fill cap has a lot of frothy brown around the rim. No blow by... so is there a way to see if the head gasket it blown?
Also has anyone ever done a head gasket on one?
Ty!
Hey everyone, so crazy enough, I drove it about 50 miles checking the cap every so few miles. And you guys are right, there are no more issues, no more frothing. Nothing! Thank you everyone for your help. Ravill, let's buy a manual and split it!Yeah, a blown head gasket would be a pretty rare occurrence from the posts on the forums.
Every engine produces some water from the chemical equation which is the burning of all fossil fuels. Usually the heat of the engine just makes water evaporate. It could very well just be condensation.
However, just for due diligence:
1: Has the car ever overheated?
2: Is your coolant level steady or are you losing some?
And scuderia has a shop manual for the A. I need to buy one too.
