Dear family,

happy to be Part of this wonderful community.
I am planning to buy an Aventador.

probably you can give me some tips concerning the purchase of two options:

1) 2012 Aventador, mileage 38.000km, brand new clutch, serviced with Lamborghini, but the cad was taken to Europe for a road trip
Price: $171.000

2) 2014 model, 29.000km, clutch still in good condition, serviced with Lamborghini,“

very unsure if the 2014 is that advanced for the bigger cost.

Thank you for all your help

How much is the 2014; general Rule is to buy as new as you can afford. 2012 had Transmission issues but they were recalled and fixed. Much depends on how much you plan to drive it; difference in miles could be years worth of weekend driving. Also be sure to get MSRP from each, the options can add a lot of re-sale value and can be a swinger. A base car versus a highly optioned one needs to be considered in price. Get a clutch snap reading as well, that is an expensive repair.

Thank you very much for the support. I really appreciate it.
I’ll value your tips. Guess the 2014 one is it then.

thanks a lot!

what do you think about an 2014 model with 50.000km on the odometer? Pre purchase inspection looks good, clutch life is still 80% remaining. But I am a bit unsure about the high mileage.

this is my first Lamborghini. Never been into exotics before. Maybe that’s why my questions are that insecure. Happy about every hint that I can get from you.

This is the one I am looking at:

much appreciated and thanks,
Dominick

Dominik, It's hard for us to compare for you when you don't give us the US$ prices for the 2014 ones.
I agree with 2008 Super G - get the latest one you can afford, then it gets down to condition, options, mileage, model.
As it looks like you have just started looking, what's the price increase over there for a Roadster?
Also look on YouTubr "Depreciation on an Aventador" - that video I found particularly helpful.
Good luck with it - exiting times for you - you will LOVE the Aventadors!

you are totally right. Thank you for your kind words.
The orange one from 2014 with the 50.000km mileage is at 185.000 USD.

Roadster from 2015 start from 220.000 USD. Do you have to pay a minimum of 20.000 USD on top.

thank you for your help!

Hmm, I also wonder about resale value of a black AV verses an orange one? In Australia silver, black(ish) colors sell for less in all models of Lambos and are harder to sell. I wonder if one of the gurus from in the USA would like to comment on this?
And, if it's the same, is it like that in your country as well?
