I am considering taking a ride to look at this car. It has been at this dealer for a while. I did a bit of a search on the vin and it shows a pretty good owner history through 2015 and only about 1500 miles since then.

I was curious if anybody may know this car or may have contacted the dealer. Also, any thoughts on why it might not be moving. I know it is not the most popular color but I do like it. Perhaps because it is low optioned, in the Northeast, or priced incorrectly?

Thanks for any comments or perspectives.

I think that color looks amazing! And it's a proper 6 speed. I dig the red seat inserts too.
The chrome wheels in the lower pics are gross (personal opinion), but the black Callisto wheels are solid.

Price is great too.

So yeah, I too wonder why it's still available and wonder why it's been sitting for a while.

See if they'll let you take it somewhere for a PPI.

Rear bumper seems to be a lighter color, maybe it was resprayed. Definitely though, get a PPI.

I don't put a premium on a gated since they can be significantly more abused, that said, have the PPI check it out too.

Thanks for the inputs. Yes, I agree that a ppi is a must for any car that I would buy unless it was from a few respected dealers. I can see in some of the older photos some possible color difference on the bumper but also think that it could a result of the HDR enhancement.

I'll take it as a positive that nobody has responded, so far, that they have seen the car and walked away due to issues.

It’s not moving for two reasons.

1) it’s gated. These forums are really the only place you’re going to see the niche type of buyers that are looking for that. Many times dealers get these type of cars in and they want them gone and they don’t kno what they have. And today more than ever, people do not know how to drive stick like they used to, are blinded at the other options out there, and shy away from a stick car…

2) the color. This is not a popular color. While I will agree it is a pretty color, classy and sharp, it’s not the color most want when they look at a lambo. These two reasons are contributing to why it’s sitting.

3) This is really about what you want, and you should see the car in person before making any decisions.

I just bought a Grigio Altair 6 speed for a very similar price with slightly fewer miles. Car was serviced by same shop for last decade and had records, no issues. Softening market and off color (for this car) are your friends. It sold for $120 twice before via the same dealer, last time with not many fewer miles than it has now.

So you're saying the car gated car you bought that sold for $120 you got for around 25k less?

Gentlemen,

Thank you for the comments and thoughts. I am not looking to get into the flipping business so I am looking for a color that I like rather than a color that others prefer. Although I do always keep resale in the back of my mind. I tend to prefer the less flashy colors like the rosso's, balloon white, and grigio proteus but realize that my options will be limited and the perfect car may never come along. One option that I would like and that this 05 car does not have is the glass bonnet. If it had that option, I probably would have gone to see it already.

I have been watching prices and sales over the last year and have see many of the gated coupes selling quickly. But, to your point, most have been orange and yellow with an occasional blue. This red and a few grigio altair cars seem to be hanging around.
