My 2004 gallardo with manual gearbox is having a problem when idling after driving for longer than 20minutes or so.
EML and EPC 1-5 6-10 has been on at one time but I havent seen it the last time the problem occured.

The car wil idle anywhere around 2000rpm all of a sudden. It will bounce up and down from 1900 to 2100rpm

I had the car diagnosed and it came up with the following codes:

P0226 - Throttle Position Sensor Circuit Range/Performance Problem
P1227 - Fuel injector 3 circuit low voltage
P2270 - o2 sensor bank2 Sensor 2 stuck on lean

Anyone who had a similar problem?

I have that with my 06 but only in traffic after driving the car a while. I haven't had it checked out yet u accepted it for now since I know these cars hate traffic

Yours seems like it may be an actual issue since you have codes. Many others have idle hunting as a result of overly driving like a puss ball which causes carbon buildup on the maf.

it only has a map sensor on top of the plenum ? Or am I wrong. Maybe I will clean that up first
Maf map close enough lol. I had an idle hunting issue before but no codes. My lambo mechanic told me to hammer on it some because I admittedly drove 90 percent lenient. After driving it hard over a long distance and not going past 3rd gear on a few highway drives it cleared up.
I tried it but didnt help. Also cleaned the map sensor but still starts hunting out of nowhere
Yeah yours is different because you have engine codes. Your codes appear to point directly to your problem. Don't just ignore them. Bad throttle position causes hunting as well as bad fuel injector.
Clean the battery cables and terminals with terminal cleaner (including ground location on the frame). I'm not kidding. Early cars had grounding issues and can cause some weird issues, cell's and codes. Cheap and easy to rule that out.

Just checked the grounding and looks like the previous owner already had that sorted out.

I found out P1227 actually is a lamborghini code for throttle body malfunction bank2 so together with the p0226 throttle position code this could be a faulty throttle body.
I opened up bank2 TB and had a look. You can see there is a condensator which could possibly be burned. I swapped the throttle bodies over and will see if the codes will move over to bank1.

So i just swapped them over, same code... I had a look at the TB when the car was idling. The one that was supposed to be good was now not moving on idle. Makes me think it is the wiring/connectors.
Restarted the car and had another look, now the other side is not moving but I get the same code..

Hard to tell what is causing the issue, but the problem now occurs almost every time I start or drive the car. So swapping over the TB's and reconnecting the connectors seems to have influence. Any suggestions?
I might be wrong, but I recall reading that the TBs used in the "early" Gallardos are from a 1990s era Volvo (or something like that) and are notorious for having failing components that cause a hunting at idle.

That said, replacement in pairs seems to be the most used option and I believe they aren't that much each, maybe a few hundred? Maybe when one fails, it affects the other?

Are you near another member where you could swap it out temporarily or maybe just buy some TBs from a place with a good return policy in case that doesn't turn out to be the issue?

But it seems like TBs can be actually pretty common.
Replaced tb, car drives again but starts rev hunting and throws p0226 p0227 p1226 again.
How are you resetting the codes? Did you try resetting then disconnecting the battery for a couple of hours, sometimes that gets things back in alignment for other cars.

I have an obd scantool which works as far as reading and erasing codes.
Swapped the tb over from left to right. Same codes. Disconnected right side connector completely, same codes lol. Pull the left one and it will add p1227. Any suggestions?

Have you been able to sort this out yet? I'm having a very similar problem on my 2009 right now. P2101 and P2106. Have you tried swapping the accelerator pedal?

I replaced both TB, all sorted now. But I believe a 2009 has got bosch TB instead of magneti marelli. So not sure it will have the same cause. I sent both my TB to ecu.de and they replaced both potentiometers with contact free ones. They dont wear

That's great! I just got mine back from the shop. They replaced both TBs and connectors. I feel confident this is the fix because it feels like a different car now. Shifts are quicker and throttle is more responsive. The tech confirmed that 09+ has Bosch.
Good to hear, I hope the problem is sorted with your car now. Enjoy, cheers
Thanks for the report. I have heard mixed reviews in that some report the a tb rebuild has not solved their issues. Sounds like it did for you. What did the rebuild run you if you don't mind me asking? Better throttle response now?
