Yeah stock camera works - I have an upgraded pioneer system with focal sub and all works - can’t see why a stock sound system wouldn’t work.

I got it from Alibaba.com - Source Tesla Screen Android 11 NO DVD 2Din Car Radio Multimedia Video Player Navigation GPS For Lamborghini Gallardo 2004-2015 4G IPS on m.alibaba.com
Here is the link - I’m not sure what supplier I bought it from but they are are similar.
yea I think the piano black would suit your interior.
I had a professional do the install, it took him around 4 hours - but a lot of that was sorting out and making the wires behind all neat and tidy.
I removed the surround and sent it off to a company that do Carbon fibre skinning and they did a fantastic job! I’m really happy with it, it completes the interior in my opinion! the android interface is good and you can customise it however I don’t use it, I use apple car play that works great it’s as quick and works as well as the stock apple car play in my other cars.
Can you share where you purchased this unit and the company that did the Carbon Fiber match?

Most of the demos I saw of it working were in LHD cars.

The ESP is on the screen now - no physical button for it anymore.

I dropped a link where they are for sale in the chat - I can’t remember what supplier I bought it from but they are all pretty much the same on alibaba - the company that did the carbon skin was a company called Carbon fibre it - they are U.K. based.

Very very nice install. I am not a carbon fiber guy, and I wasn't really too convinced about this unit before. Yet, when I see both in comination in your install, I simply love it. You've persuaded me into getting one of these... I'll also look into having the surround painted in matte black (or wrapped in leather, if that's feasible), and also a protection film in matte applied to it. That normally helps with making the unit feel more OEM.

I just wish the buttons looked a bit nicer, and that they included either a volumen knob or at least buttons. But hey, I reckon one can't have everything.

Yeah I wish there were a few more buttons. However if you have steering wheel controls these will still work. The buttons do let to down as the are very plastic and seem a bit cheap - but like you said can’t have everything. It would be easy to wrap or even trim in leather. It’s 6 screws and the front surround comes completely off.

Steering wheel controls in a Gallardo? Tell me more about that! Has anyone managed to retrofit anything like that successfully?
Ok damage is done. The unit is now ordered. I blame YOU (@Magic8ball) for unknowinly talking me into it :p

I managed to get it for ~470 USD. In case anyone else is interested, I got this one:

Yeah, I've seen most of them going for 1500+ USD. One even going for 3k! Quite a crazy difference. No idea why these guys are selling it this cheap... but hey, no questions asked! :p

In theory, it should support Carplay. That's what the ad says. I am convinced that all these units are basically the same one, produced by the same manufacturer, and then sold by all the resellers we see in Aliexpress.

About the surround, I have not decided yet. But it will come down to either wrapping it in leather, or painting it in matte black, so that it matches the rest of the dashboard. Most likely, what will end up happening is that I'll paint it in matte black as a temporary measure, and then use some time to persuade myself into paying an upholsterer to wrap that in leather (and potentially also the center tunnel trim parts, where the gear stick and the handbrake lever are).

Also, I found that there are some universal stick-on bluetooth steering wheel controls. I might look into getting one of those, and sticking it somewhere in the steering column trim, where it is not too visible. Like that, I'll get proper volume controls.

Only thing I don’t like is that the Bluetooth is through aux. it seems almost aftermarket screens for most platforms do their Bluetooth this way.

Not sure I understand this correctly, but I am definitely interested in understanding it.

Why do you say Bluetooth is through AUX? Since Bluetooth is a digital protocol, I would assume (maybe wrongly so) that the input path for the audio signal of a device connected over Bluetooth is purely digital.

Then, if we are speaking about the output path, this unit seems to support both RCA analog ports (from their internal DAC, which is usually crap), and digital ports (coaxial and S/PDIF Toslink). So with the right amp, it should be possible to have the audio signal of a Bluetooth device integrally processed in digital, from the source and all the way to the amp.

WIth all that being said, I am by no means an expert on the topic. So if I have missed something here, please do tell.
