“Tesla style” Navi screen? Anybody seen?

I'm intrigued, the best part is that replaced the switch panel which on many cars can have issues right now.

They use a similar one on a Lexus board I'm a member of, inevitably, there are some stuff that are a pain to get working. However, if they can pull it off, that's not a bad price even!

Loads of these floating around for all models of cars. I think inevitably, the software will be a clunky disappointment as with most Chinese tech products. I also think losing the "chrome look" row of switches is a huge negative - one of the best styling elements of the Gallardo...

I don't think that just being of chinese origin, these days, equals to questionable quality. Especially regarding software: these units all run Android, which is american software. Plenty of resources in XDA-developers showing how to upgrade/install different flavors of Android, if one is so inclined.

My main grip is ultimately the way it looks. The screen is fine, but the button row at the bottom is definitely a downgrade from the rocker switch panel in our cars.

I would've been very very VERY interested if they had found a way to:

• Get rid of the HVAC controls and integrate them in the screen (as it is shown in the photo)
• Keep the rocker switches, and move that switch panel all the way down, where the HVAC controls are

That would result in a smaller screen, but still big enough to present everything correctly. And it will respect, to some extent, the design language of the central area of the dashboard. I hope someone will develop something like this

I think it looks cool except perhaps it protrudes a bit too much at the top, but also looks very aftermarket as the instrument cluster and small screen between the gauges is clearly from a different era. Totally agree if they could have kept the switch row but moved it to the top of the screen (like the hurcan) it would be better. I wonder if that unit can still control the rear glass in the spyders, as that button is on the hvac controls.

T-rex tech makes some of these units for R35 G-TR, it is a huge upgrade. However, the genetic Chinese units are not so good. I’m sure if there’s enough interest T-Rex can work on these for the Gallardo. I’ll make the owner of the company aware of this thread.

Why would anybody want to replace physical buttons and knobs for a screen? Theres a company making an aftermarket infotainment meant to look OEM. Same utility as this but you get physical buttons. $500 or so.

I believe the owner of TREX posted on one of the Gallardo forums on FB a couple months back that they are working on it

I'd rather spend the money on a DCT upgrade. The egear in these things is utter garbage!

Maybe I missed it: Is there a URL / link to where this is available for purchase? Not sure I'd pull the trigger yet, but definitely would like to check it out.

From my many years of "gambling" on Chinese domestic products (not of the Xiaomi caliber), I would expect the unit to have bad grammar, spelling mistakes, pics of a Bentley on a Lambo console, weird translations, annoying pop-ups that you can't get rid of, lack of support, and just complete user-unfriendliness on things like this...

Anybody actually install one of these?

Oh that is nice looking. My switches are gooped from the anti-dazzle ooze so thought crossed my mind to go with the Tesla style screen. However probably best to just wait for a set of nice switches to come up.

You can buy aluminum aftermarket switches too. I did the same because mine looked like someone's kid was chewing on them.

Nice thanks for the link. The ooze got the panel too so its like bubbling and looks bad. I am guessing Eurospares $7XX is the best option.
