Job well done
A big thanks to Kevin at Cats for helping me locate and buy my new 2008 G. I looked at many used models before I decided to buy new, and Kevin was able to find EXACTLY what I wanted at a price I was willing to pay. After months of research I knew exactly the color combo and options I wanted, but was surprised to find out he could help me locate a dealer, and negotiate for me, on a brand new car. I initially contacted Roy about a used car, considering his reputation on the board, but decided on new. So, either new or used, the guys at Cats can help. (and they were able to easily move my AM Vantage).
So the obvious question...why buy new when there are sooooo many deals on used ones. Here are a few things I considered. 1) I was able to get a discount on the new car that I felt was reasonable. Could I have waited and gotten it cheaper? Yes, but I wanted it for the spring/summer and in order to save another 5-10K, it would likely have been late summer (bummer). 2) I was pretty picky on the interior and wanted it a certain way - just personal preference. Again, Kevin found exactly the right car, so I bought it. 3) The extra year of warranty meant something to me - if I sell it, its probably worth $5,000 in the third year (the price of a clutch) and resale will be faster, and or at a higher price. If I don't sell it, then I'll have that extra year. So those are the major reasons I went new.
So I am very happy to have the Orange G, be an "official" Lambo owner, and owe a big thanks to Kevin. Trust is critical when you are doing business sight unseen - and I trust them. 'nuff said.
