First, I would like to thank all of my customers for your continued support and positive feedback in response to the recent chat room correspondence regarding the ’03 Ferrari Spider. As all true Ferrari enthusiasts understand, each of these is a one-of-a-kind vehicle. They are all handmade, bearing their own unique signature imperfections and distinct personalities. Top management and mechanics at Naples Motorsports worked with this customer tirelessly after his purchase. We changed the oil he over-filled. We fixed the dings he put in the paint. We removed the bumper and thoroughly inspected the vehicle with our mechanic. Despite our best efforts, the customer chose to purchase a 6 spd 2005 Ferrari 360 Spider from a different dealer. Soon thereafter, a Naples Motorsports customer saw the same ’03 Spider (with the bumper removed). We showed the new customer every inch of this beautiful automobile. He quickly bought her and is absolutely delighted with his purchase. To this day he has never once complained. At Naples Motorsports we pride ourselves on our attention to detail and on our premier customer service. Tell me, what is your refund policy on a car that was in a customers posession for 2 days total until he found paintwork under the clear bra? Go on and let this forum know. I don't know if you comprehend the level of intelligence that exists on these Boards, but I'm going to make you a public offer. It might go a long way to restoring your credability if you've lost any. Send me a check for 8K, and send another one for the same amount to St. Judes Childrens Hospital. Repair the damage you've caused yourself. It may not be too late. In closing, I was telling my significant other lat night that I never thought that these accurate posts I made would be viewed so many times. 11,000 people have read this stuff on the three Boards and that number is growing by the day. I told her that I felt badly, and how much easier it would have been if you would do the right thing. Releases, Agreements, all a bunch of BS. I returned a car that was sold damaged...and knowingly sold damaged. It's a pity that something like this took place all together...puts a bad taste in everyone's mouth...I know where I live, as well as most every other place, you have a 72 hour right to recind on your purchase...and you walk owing nothing...if you only owned the car two days, you're definately entitled to full refund...I don't think it's right for any dealership to refuse return of a deposit in that amount, or charge a re-stocking fee of such a substantial amount...to charge 1k or evern 2500 would be "reasonable" in my eyes, but 17k? Come on, where does it end? Simply because a person can afford to give away 17k or can afford to cash out a 200k exotic car doesn't really make it right to charge an outrageous amount like that....owning a Lambo or a Ferrari shouldn't be a punishment when it comes to service, mechanically or otherwise, if a person has acquired the means, earning their business as a repeat customer would bring far more profit to anyone in the long run than trying to recoop a phony loss with a "re-stocking fee" of 17k !!!
Just thankful it's not me losing the 17k...it was a nice politiaclly correct response that they sent though...so really, if I read the response correctly, the car resold BEFORE the car was put back together and PRIOR to it being put back into inventory? Just an observation, but doesn't that contradict the restocking fee charge since the car wasn't ready for resale? Technically speaking, the car wasn't "put back on the shelf"....it was sold before it made it that far...interesting to me...17k to finish having a car put back together only to have it sold before it made it that far? There isn't any mention of a discounted price being offered to the new owner either...so were there concessions made for the paintwork? Did those concessions total 17k? Just some thoughts I'm tossing out there, this is all very interesting to me... As I have always said, there are three sides to every story...his side, your side, then the truth...in this case, there's probably a little truth in all sides...it's the moral side that let's some of us sleep at night. BUMP!!
About 3 years years ago, Ferrari of Vancouver (BC) tried to sell us a yellow Ferrari 360 with a repainted rear right lower quarter panel. Told me that all Ferraris have mismatched paint on the different body panels. Shown to me under poor service shop lighting. I confronted them on their lie, and told them the car was hit. They reluctuntly later agreed. They knew it was hit, but tried to hide this fact. Some sucker is driving this car right now, likely unaware of the damage (unless a chunk of Bondo already fell off?). If it is YOU, so sorry. Caveat emptor. P.S. I should mention that the person who did this is no longer with the company, and I understand that it is under new management. Maybe it is better now? Crap. That sucks; seems like crooks are everywhere. I also posted my problem in buying a misrepresented Diablo from Teague Motorsports from Virginia here John Teague Motorsports lamborghini Diablo fraud and elsewhere. When I posted I got threatened, too, by the seller John Teague in an email accusing me of slander (or "slader," as he put it), and that he was taking it to the attorney general's office and suing me -- I guess these guys don't knowt know that you can't sue someone for telling the truth, and certainly it's not a criminal matter for the attorney general's office. I also took my complaint to the motor vechicle dealers board in Virginia, in addition to the BBB, FTC, DuPont (which no longer will list his ads), and a lawyer here in Canada and Virginia. Does Florida have a motor vehicle dealers board? Good luck and good for you to post the truth.
