Actually this a Valuable Reminder for people, even though we've (old timers) heard countless horror stories before, we have new guys coming along all the time that haven't.

This is exactly why we (Old Timers) Preach PPI (Pre-Purchase Inspection)!!!!

So all you new guys pay attention not just to the Seller involved , but also to the bigger message = PPI PPI PPI!!!

Steve, thanks for having the courage and taking the time to post your story!! I'm sure it will help others avoid some of the disatorous pitfalls that we can be a victim of along the way to exotic car ownership.

I'm ashamed to admit I am an "Oldtimer" I'm on my 10th exotic, and I'm 50 yrs young. Just screwed up

Steve - I'm getting close to 50 myself and admire your honesty, courage, and to be as candid as you were with this community is commendable. I hope this never happens again to anyone, but we all know it will.

Harry,

I've thought about that. I've posted the same thread on the Ferrari Chat, and the Corvette Forum.

http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=91651

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show...15&forum_id=74

These threads have received over 5000 hits in the last 24. I've been candid, but not defamitory. To create a site like yours (which I respect a lot) is opening the dor to a lawsuit. Have they sued you?

No - There is nothing to sue me for - it is only defamatory if it isnt the truth - there is nothing in my site that is not true - there attorney has spoken to mine and threatend all kind of nonsense - that bs lawsuit wouldnt stand a shot -

I'm not afraid of Naples Motorsport, or any Law Suit that they institute. As you said, the truth is the best defense. If Todd Rosenthal were to sue me, he'd be opening up a Pandoras Box of questions regarding other's who have bought cars with paintwork. He'd have many questions to answer along those lines. I might just create a site like you did. I'm going to wait a bit, and watch how they handle this situation.

Thanks,

Steve

Steve, they arent going to do ****! I tried the same approach they will do nothing even if they are monitoring these forums - they assume time goes by and people forget - dont make the same mistake i did take action while the situation is still fresh.....

Steve: Thanks for posting this information on Naples. I always wondered if they were any different from the rest of them in South florida and now I know that they are not. When it comes to money watch yourself with any kind of buisiness, especially car dealers. The term "Caveat Emptor" never applied more strongly than when you are dealing with a car dealer.

OK Guys, I've been told by a member of another Forum that during an exchange of emails Todd said it's killing him not to respond to my post, and He's turned it over to his attorneys. Compounding one mistake with another. If indeed this is what he's done, he's got some serious "Proving to do", and during the time of discovery he's gonna have to talk about, and provide records of every car he's ever sold. He's going to be asked questions he doesn't want to answer. How many of them had paintwork, and how much business does he do with Carsmetics. That just for starters. I can think of a hundred questions, and my counsel will undoubtedly have some more.

If this is really the case, and he's planning to file a suit he's getting some really poor advice. On top of that he's showing his true colors by not calling me a lying Bast**d and moving on. We'll just see what happens.

Suffice it to say, if this happens it will be a public proceeding and I WILL keep all three of the Forums I've been posting on up to date as to what's going on, and provide documentation.

As an aside the identical post on the 3 boards I'm on have generated almost 8000 views in the last 48 hours. If my experience has helped someone else out then I'm glad. That's the deal guys. It's his call
