Angry Lamborghini Canada - Poor customer service

My 2005 - 6sp gallardo has been in the shop 9 times for stalling. My dealer in Vancouver has been unable to resolve the problem with the resources available to them.

Also have called Lamborghini Canada office and spoke to customer service rep - Alex. I have left 5 messages with him & he avoids calling me back. They will do anything to get you to buy a car, but after they have your money - they will treat you like you bought a used Hyundai.

If anyone is deciding to either buy a Ferrari or Lamborghini - talk to me. Ferrari will do everything to help the customer because their CSI bonus is linked to customer satisfaction.

I have never experienced such poor service as from Lamborghini Canada.

I've never heard this about these guys being poor performers before....and I'd be willing to bet they don't like reading about your disatisfaction here!!!!!!!

Let's try to resolve this issue to keep you in the Lamborghini Community.

Give us some more info on the issues you're having and I'd bet we can get a resolution that both of you will be satisfied with.

Purchased 2005 Black Gallardo 6spd cream interior, - in Nov 2005. S/N ...02577. Did not start driving this car until the weather cleared up in mid January 2006.

Problem usually occurs after driving for more than an hour. Car stalls when idling or coming to a stop. (best described by member: Doctor E 6-15-2005)

Quoted
"just got new 2005 gallardo, manual transmission, black with essentially tan interior. car is awesome. my car will rarely stall when in neutral and coasting to a stop(mostly after 20-30 min of driving). my dealer assures me the 2005 has an upgraded clutch and that many of the other issues with the early cars(ie idling problems, coil pack water, etc.) have been corrected. is this true? should i baby this clutch or can i drive and depend on this car like i could the last 7 porsches i have had. i want this car to be better than my 911 turbo, it certainly cost more. i would appreciate any advice on this car. lastly does the 2005 have slightly more hp than the 2004. my handbook says 500 hp but i have seen reports of the 2004 with 493hp. thanks"

Lamborghini Vancouver - work done. Changed coil packs, 6 downloads/uploads of new firmware, new clutch & some new gasket or seal. My car has been in the shop every month since January (sometimes twice) to try to fix this problem.

Called Lamborghini in Toronto - spoke to Alex. He then discussed problem with my dealer. Gave it HIGH priority for the first month. Then when my problem came back after they gave it their BEST shot, I called him back (left 5 messages). He seems to aviod my calls now.

I am Extremely dissapointed after spending $250k on a brand new car. Just drove it again on Sunday - stalled twice. Having a poor Lamborghini ownership experience.

Since lamborghini canada seems to avoid me. I have resorted to posting on this site.

This sounds like the way Lamborghini dealers used to treat their customers years ago. Sounds like Lambo Canada is stuck in the past. Perhaps a call to someone higher up in the executive chain??

Tried calling Lamborghini USA. They refer you back to the canadian importer. The importer does not care about customer service because they sell very limited number of cars & perhaps they do not care about their reputation.

I hope with my posts that someone higher up (at lamborghini) can read about my poor ownership experience & can step up to the plate and help me.

FYI - the last time my car was in shop for 27 days, called Alex @ lamborghini canada. He did not care to acknowledge that I was service that long & told the service manager to talk to me.

Also made a simple request of extending my warranty for the period my car was having problems - did not respond either.

Absolutely the WORST customer experience of owning a car. Also, the salesperson (salesmanager) who sold me the car avoids asking me about my car. When confronted with my dissatisfaction, he told me that the dealership was NOT responsible for my problems (he was just the intermediary). He compared his role to being something like a salesperson at a department store. What service after spending $250k on a car that has been in the shop more times than i have driven it.

Also bought a Mercedes B200 in April 2006. Got 10x better customer service. Salesperson calls you back & service departments follow up after every service. Salesperson still calls me back every month to check on my purchase & ownership experience. Mercedes cares about their reputation & a lamborghini costing 8x more - couldn't care at all. They hope I trade back the care and take a $50k loss.

Not sure if that is Scotti Lamborghini or not but I wouldn't deal with them either. At least not the sales department. The guy is terrible.

this is very annoying. and although i dont own a lambo i would understand that this is pissing u off.

the only thing i can think of is perhaps demanding to speak to someone higher up at lambo on the phone or perhaps writing a letter to more prominent figures at lambo. Personaly i would go as far as to contact in writing/phone to lambo italy HQ(but thats up to u)

its problems like these that u have to think of lateral solutions. and they can be tough to think of. but i believe persistance is the key

and if things get real bad....i would end up shouting my mouth down the phone line to lambo usa HQ ( but thats up to u again) try not to put total blame on lambo, im sure not every lambo dealer behaves this way

well im outa ideas at the moment. hope ive given ya some new ways to find a solution. good luck

Default solutions

It is important to note that the only significant solutions that deviate from the norm that any of the dealers or distribution networks can provide must flow through the approval of Lamborghini Italy....
