Default Introduce myself and thank roy Cats

Thanks to Roy Cats I am now an official member of the club. I already know a couple other people in the club other than Roy, primarily Ray from SD and Alex Fima who is a friend of mine who has done rallies with me on my team which you can read about at www.darkcydracing.com if you wish.

I wanted to share my experience in club admittance. Most of you know Roy and what a great reputation he has. He is first and foremost a Lambo afficinado and second a dealer. Roy first showed me what kind of guy he was about 2 years ago when I was shipping my Lotus to Seattle for the Players Run. The car was not prepared in time for the rally and still needed the Navigation and other equpment installed. He not only received the car on my behalf, he took time out of his valuable day to get the work done at an audio store whom worked on his cars, paid for the work in advance, and had the car picture perfect waiting for me when I flew in ready for the rally, all shined up at his house. Not many people would do this for a stranger.

Fast forward to a couple weeks ago. Roy knowing I only own black/ black cars and my price range, found me a black/black 03 Murci which was not even for sale yet on his site, with Beautiful Maya wheels and gave me the the car for a price that was more than fair to begin with, but what transpired shortly after shows where his real character starts to shine.

Upon getting the car inspected, it needed some things in order to maintain it in good shape, things that because it is a Lamborghini, costs the price of a used car-lol. Since I was buying it to do a rally next month, it needed to be tip top for me to want to drive it.

Since the car itself was already close to my max comfort zone in price for a toy, since I already have 5 others, I was candid with him that I was probably now going to pass on the car and maybe just hold off.

Roy being more concerned with helping someone achieve one of his dreams, readjusted an already fair price making no money at all on the deal ( I actually think he lost a few hundred), so I could have all the work needed done to make the car perfect.

So now I have an amazing car with new clutch, new brakes, a full service, for just a little more than I was was willing to pay for an 02.

To top it off, I did all this site unseen because I trust him so much. I have never seen the car and hopefully will in a couple weeks when it drops on the east coast.

Thanks Roy-you really are a great guy

Robb

Robb - congrats! I just picked up one from Roy as well. What a great experience. Hopefully I'll see you on a rally again. I had the 1991 911 Turbo on the 2005 Players Run...

This is why all of us on the Board of Directors are so honored to have Roy as our Corporate Sponsor for the Italian Concours! He is the man, and has a great reputation!

I think Roy sold 2 cars at our show last year, what do you think Roy? Shoot for 3 or 4 this year???

Default One Picture

Was told today service will be finished Tuesday. Service manager found couple small gremlins that needed to be takin care of before car ships out. Truth is I have been so busy with work I forgot about the car until today when my phone reminded me to check that car was ready by Monday for shipping. Hopefully will see my side of coast in about 10 days, giving me just enough time to install GPS tracking before car ships out agin for the Bullrun next month from Montreal to Key West. I'll be doing a write up every day that I always do and posting on www.darkcydracing.com
I'm running a 5 car team, so if you guys want updates just fill out subscribe form on site.

Cheers,

Robb

Everything car I have must be black/black. It's in keeping with my darkcyde theme.
